"Wait, after what we just found out, don't you think it's better to talk some other time?" He began hurriedly, his face tight and anxious, "We need to work out why he's targeted Cap - " 

"No. Enough. I've waited long enough for you to tell me in your own time, Ezra. So, you're going to tell me everything, now. I am listening." She interrupted his rambling speech and took a seat across the desk and crossed her legs, waiting patiently with a calm expression. 

Ezra stiffened in his chair and regarded her warily, "What if I think you aren't ready to know?" 

"Then that's my problem, not yours." She rested her head against her hand and continued to wait patiently for him to begin.

He felt a wave of trepidation wash over him, but staring back into her calm silver eyes, slowly, Ezra nodded.
