Alfie woke up feeling a bit woozy, his mind was still strained from the night before.
He peered into himself using his Spiritual sense and saw the radiating glow of his first star.
Every few seconds, the star pulsed with a white light emitting small amounts of spiritual energy.
Throughout the night, despite being unconscious he was absorbing spiritual energy into his body.
His body became durable, he felt that if he was shot by a pistol it would only bruise his skin.
Although he didn't gain any muscles he felt his strength must've quadrupled or something of that number.
2 years after his death on Earth, he had finally escaped the limits of a normal human.
It felt exhilarating he wanted to explore his new abilities, maybe even create new ones. He carried with him a near childlike curiosity for the possibilities that lay before him.
There was just one thing he had to check first.
[Name: Alfie.
Current world: Opha
Current universe: Lords (Tier 1)
Original Skill: Transmigration (Triggered upon death).
Attributes: [Living husk], [Collector], [Restless Soul], [Soul Entity], [Spiritual Perfection]*.
Remark: Aim high.]
Strange, instead of appearing as a skill 'Spiritual Perfection' appeared as an attribute. Alfie wasn't complaining though. Since it showed up in his status screen that meant he would gain a good understanding of his new talent.
[Spiritual Perfection: After countless cycles of refinement your soul although pure was filled with cracks in its foundation. Under the mending of this new attribute, the cracks held deepest with your soul have begun to slowly heal. Under the concept of Perfection your control over the realm of souls and its related fields is Divine.]
Alfie was quite shocked. One of the two reasons he only held access to the status screen and only that was due to the damage to his Soul and Mind.
His soul was powerful, but due to his lackluster foundation he'd sooner be crushed by his own power than be able to use it effectively.
But now with this talent, he was slowly repairing those cracks. Not only that but he was able to manipulate and begin to explore the capabilities hidden inside his soul.
Everything was practically going exactly how he wanted it. He was reborn into a body with immense wealth, he got an impossibly rare talent, and his first summon was an absolute beast.
It was going all too well, and Alfie was suspicious. However, it wasn't hard to figure out where all these good things came from.
The ticket he used to summon Ivory came from the system. While he didn't know if Anti could choose what body he transmigrated into, he chose this universe solely due to his advice.
The thing was that Alfie knew that all of these things would require an immense amount of points. Points that he for one knew he didn't have.
The bastard had been lying when he claimed he could only be put into debt with information.
If given the choice he would've much rather have made his own decisions on what to buy with those loaned out points.
What's done is done. Alfie had no choice but to accept it, everything Anti did was to help him after all.
Gaining achievements, and doing quests were the two most common ways to earn points.
It was a real shame he didn't have access to the quest function but Alfie was confident that he could escape his debt with achievements alone.
Seeing the sunlight shine through the little gaps in his manor, Alfie knew it was high time he made his way out of the dark and crude house.
The fresh morning's air hit Alfie immediately, it was a bit chilly but the rising sun helped warm him up.
Looking around it seemed that the rest of his subjects were still sound asleep. Since today was another day he'd be summoning another 100 subjects to join his little settlement.
At the current moment, he only had 10 professions and the rest of the ordinary subjects either worked on building the houses or had worked to cook the meals.
The most apparent thing Alfie needed was information. With the new rush of summons, he would assign some to scout out the nearby area.
Speaking on that fact, Ivory himself had gone out and hunted an absolute shit ton of monsters.
He'll relay the information Ivory gained to Fawn who'll lead a group of scouts into the surrounding area.
He hoped that within the new subjects, one of them had skills related to cartography or perhaps Fawn already had some.
Alfie recalled that among her talents scouting was the best, around 7 stars. When dealing with the expansion of his domain he already had a capable subordinate for the job.
Seeing as he still had some free time before he had to go to work Alfie wanted to test out his talent.
9 stars, 'Spiritual Perfection'. Strange coincidence that his talent and Spiritual energy held both Spiritual in their name.
There was something he wasn't able to do yesterday that he wanted to try again.
Alfie began to concentrate, as he gathered Spiritual energy onto the tip of his finger.
Usually, spiritual energy particles are tiny, nearly invisible to the naked eye but gather enough into a single point and it'll come to life.
At the tip of his finger, a rotating blue speck came into view. It was incredibly tiny, holding about the same volume as a single grain of sand.
But the energy it radiated was something to behold, packed and compressed it would probably blast through the trunk of a mature tree.
As much as Alfie wanted to test it out, he didn't want to disturb his subjects with the unnecessary sound.
So in the end, he aimed up high into the sky intending for it to disappear out of sight.
Alfie watched as the tiny speck raced up into the sky and out of sight. Its blue coloring allowed it to perfectly camouflage it with the deep blue sky around it.
He could still somewhat sense the location of the rotating compressed point with his spiritual sense but he paid it no mind since it was soon to disappear.
Having tested out one idea, Alfie wanted to test out more. Ideas that involved flight, enhanced speed, strength, and all of those sorts.
Alfie was left pondering when above in the sky the single rotating point finally escaped his 'domain.'
The compressed point no longer having any force keeping it together began to expand at an accelerated rate.
An explosion erupted high above the settlement. Although deadly it looked like nothing more than a lavish firework.
Despite Alfie's intention to keep quiet for his people, he seemed to manage to do it anyway.
With the sudden sound of an explosion, many people came rushing out of their shelters scared at the thought that an attack had occurred.
Alfie felt guilty for having woken up his subjects, but he was honestly surprised to see that many came out seemingly prepared to fight.
Most were only ordinary people and yet they still came out to see the situation. Alfie felt lucky in the subjects he had received.
However, he made a silent vow in his heart that ordinary people would not have to give up their lives for the sake of his growth.
