Fawn knocked on the Lord's manor. Although she was still embarrassed from being caught by the lord, she was still the closest to him.
Having reached early noon the builders had acquired enough resources to continue building upon the base of the manor.
For them to start working, however, they required the Lord to exit from the inside. And while they could've easily knocked on that door, none had the guts.
That was exactly the reason Fawn was brought onto the scene.
After a few minutes of waiting, there stood no response. It was then that Fawn took the risk of opening the door without the Lord's permission.
She was fully aware of the risks that came with disrespecting a Lord but she also didn't want him to keep living in such a lousy house.
Entering the dark interior, it took her eyes a few seconds to adjust before she saw the Lord assuming a lotus position on the bed.
With each step she took, she mentally prepared for anything the Lord might throw at her.
Once she finally reached the foot of the bed, she took a deep breath before gently tapping the Lord's shoulder.

Alfie opened his eyes to the sigh of Fawn's anxious face. From the fact Fawn had to wake him up, he knew he'd spent much longer in his soul space than intended.
He thanked Fawn before swiftly exiting through the main door. Outside he smiled at the group of builders before walking off.
He walked and walked until he was a good distance away from the clearing. Summoning his wooden spear, he began hacking away at the trunk of a nearby tree.
He took no effort to reinforce his body with spiritual energy, using only his passive strength to hack, slash, and stab away at the tree in front of him.
It was only a few minutes later when the tree began to fall down that he caught his breath.
He had spent 5 hours in his soul space experiencing the memories of his current reincarnation.
Although the relief of not being a parasite washed away his guilt, the excessive viewing of his memories caused him a sense of dissociation.
He needed to ground himself, which led to his sudden training regiment.
Although he viewed his life till the moment he entered the source world, he still didn't fully regain the emotional connection he had formed.
There stood a distinct line, similar to how one felt connected to a character in a TV show.
Although Alfie didn't worry too much on the matter. Once he interacted with them in his current unified self the connections would slowly come back.
Through his examination of his soul, he began to understand the limits and functions of 'Transmigration'.
He would enter each universe as a native, being born just like anyone else. His soul would be washed clean of memories becoming a blank canvas for birth.
But through the subtle influence of 'Transmigration', he would retain his name and nature despite his memory wipe
It was only once his body developed enough that 'Transmigration' would begin the transference of memory.
As for the reason why he wasn't given access to the memories he had while not fully whole, he didn't know.
He had suspicions about the system being at play but through his examination, he was sure his skill of 'Transmigration' came from his own origin and not the system.
Either way with the overflowing information from his missing memories he had a steady plan till the end of his first month.
From the monsters that Ivory had killed the other day, he could approximately guess that he was on the Western frontier of the source world.
Unlike other more developed areas, the western frontier held very little competition. There stood no empires, no kingdoms.
There stood only small trader cities by the merchant alliances for the purpose of trade.
Alfie's only competition was other new lords. And to him, they were nothing but stepping stones for his rapid expansion.
For the month before he returned he was going to ensure that he built a strong foundation for his empire.
With knowledge of the outside world, he knew that once he finished the first month and returned back home his mom would ship him to Aegis immediately.
For the majority of his life, he had been hidden away from the public. He was the crown prince of the multi-galactic-wide human empire but despite that, he never made a public appearance.
For the majority of this reincarnation, he lived with his parents like a normal family would. He only interacted with close relatives and friends of his parents.
His parents' extreme protectiveness wasn't without reason though. Only lords were able to control spiritual energy and due to that only lords could make use of Protective Charms.
Before becoming a Lord, he wouldn't be able to protect himself from any adequate assassin.
Once he became a Lord though, they could stuff him with protective charms until even a 7-star assassin wouldn't be able to touch him.
Only then would his parents be fine with leaving him outside of their sight.
That's also why he would immediately be shipped off since he could actually protect himself for once.
Aegis was the number one Lord's academy in the whole of the Humanoid alliance, but more importantly, it was the social and training ground for the young elites.
There they would socialize and compete with the new generation of commanders, generals, kings, emperors, and dukes of various other humanoid races.
Although Alfie knew he could still enter the source world, he knew it wouldn't be as much as he wanted to.
That's why within this month he needed to ensure his territory's stability.
He also for one needed to hone his skills enough to make sure he dominated when he reached Aegis.
Although he only regained the knowledge that he had another set of parents recently he decided to accept the reality he was faced with.
Although they weren't his first parents, he'd love them just like if they were. And if there was one thing he could do as a son that was to make them proud.
Coincidentally it felt weird that he himself had a kid of his own. Either way by training and growing fast, he was shooting two birds with one stone.
He'd make his parents proud, as well as growing strong enough to return to Lucia and his kids.
