Chapter 1

Layla sat down at a cafe waiting for her order, she stared outside the glass window listening to the pitter patter of the drizzling rain in deep thoughts ; she had just finished her schooling and would be doing her internship at TANNER REALTY GROUP, one of the biggest real estate firm in the country.

Her interview was scheduled for Monday which was a day away and she could not help the nervousness that crept into her heart; she had heard how difficult it was to work at the firm but she knew she could not be discouraged now as she has been waiting for this moment.

"Ma'm your order." A masculine voice brought her out of her thoughts .

"Thank you." Layla smiled before making her payments, she stood up with her takeout cofee before heading out of the cafe into the drizzling rain.

Layla used her free hand to draw her jacket close to her body, just as she was about to cross the road, a car sped past her splashing water on her jeans.

"Are you blind, you bastard!!"Layla yelled furiously at the car which stopped a few meters away from her, At her words the car reversed back to where she was splashing water on her again.

"You bastard, what do you think you are doing" Layla yelled angrily walking towards the car before tapping on the window furiously.

The car window slowly slid down revealing a young man who kept a straight emotionless face while staring at her.

"Aren't you going to apologize? you splashed roadside water on me twice"Layla said with flaring nostrils; Who the hell splash water on a passerby not once but twice, without apologizing?. The young man bowed his head in form of an apology.

Layla's eye twitched as she stared at him, her eyes went down to look at the coffee in her hand contemplating if she should splash it on his stupid face.

"Drive." A deep husky voice from the back seat ordered. Layla's eyes widened in surprise as she had not idea that someone else was in the car

" Your hand miss." The young driver said trying to roll up the window which her hand was on. Layla left the side window and moved to the backseat window.

"Tell your driver to apologize for splashing water on me." She said while tapping on the window.

The driver was about to move when the man at the backseat signalled him to wait and open the window; when the window slid down, Layla came face to face with a very handsome and good looking man, she froze staring at his out of this world beauty, she had never seen a man who was handsome and beautiful at the same time.

His raven dark hair was combed back and it look so soft and shiny. Layla's eyes continued to trace his facial feature 'oh how can a person be so beautiful, was he even human?'

Ethan stared at the fuming girl who had suddenly gone quiet after seeing him, he was not surprised as it was an effect he had on ladies. His eyes went down to look at his wristwatch before looking back at the girl who looked awestruck; a frown settled on his forehead as she was wasting his time, He turned to his driver signalling him to drive.

Layla came back to her senses when she heard the car engine roar back to life, she shook her head trying to gather her thoughts, she straighten her body watching the car window slid backup concealing the beautiful man behind it's dark tinted glass.

As the car zoomed past her she threw her already cold coffee at it's direction before crossing the road.
