She didn't know who DAX really was, only that he understood her in a way no one else did. He had never told her much about his life, but she could sense that he carried his own burdens.
Just like she did.
For the first time since they had started talking, she felt anxious.
She typed another message, hesitated, then deleted it.
She didn't want to seem desperate.
But deep down, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.
