Chaos Outside

Riya smiled reassuringly and wrapped a scarf around her face. This would look as if she was protecting herself.

Though, as a magician, Riya was confident that she would be fine.

She took out a small bag of rice and then carried a box containing 12 eggs on the other hand. With this, Ruby would be fine for the next week.

Riya peeled the talisman and headed to the other room and knocked.

"Ruby, I'm here."

"Ok."

The door opened and Riya placed the packet inside before walking away hurriedly. However as Riya was outside, she also carefully tried to feel the mana within the mist and felt a bit apprehensive.

The mist seemed to be sustained by the mana as the mana was slowly being released, blending with the world.

It was trying to adapt to the sudden change with the appearance of this mist.

"Thank you," Ruby whispered and dragged the items inside before closing the door again. 

Riya returned, go to the bathroom but she took care of her farm first before taking a bath.

"I'm going to read."

Sitting cross legged on her bed, Riya silently continued to meditate. In any case, she had no interest to compete for fame and power. 

It would be better for her to stay quiet and just meditate quietly.

The outside was not very peaceful. Some people felt that the appearance of the mist was too annoying, so they wanted to do something.

However, Riya noticed that the mist was not as thick was it was six days ago. It would take a few more days for it to completely cleared out based on this rate of disappearance.

During this time, Riya did nothing but to meditate. She would also occasionally cook for her and Amelia to eat.

While Amelia was very bored, but she still didn't dare to do anything excessive. 

She was more worried that she will get sick and her parents worry for her.

At this time, there was commotion outside.

"What is it?" Riya peeked to the window and saw many people were going on the road. 

"They're protesting. Many people couldn't eat anything because the stores are closed and they couldn't even do any activities." Amelia frowned. "I hope it would not turn into a large scale mass action."

Riya glanced at Amelia. "There will be people who will step forward should that happen."

Amelia nodded. "Let's hope so."

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The sound of banging things outside didn't calm down in the slightest bit.

There was also fire from a distance and Riya watched everything from the window calmly.

Before long, the police and military was dispatched.

"Where will they go?" Amelia was busy texting her brother about what happened here. She looked outside, half curious, half worried.

"Should be locked away somewhere." Riya glanced at Amelia. "Don't worry, we'll be fine."

"Mhm. The food?"

"There are still enough."

"Alright."

Riya walked to the kitchen and stretched her hand, citing water spells and a large amount of water flowed into the large bottles in front of her.

Even though the water might be safe, she felt that using spells was much safer. It was water transformed directly from mana and was very pure and fresh. Drinking it will also help to induce more mana into the body, which was beneficial for practice.

Of course, for a high ranked magician, the amount was very small and worth nothing.

But for ordinary people like Amelia, it was very good and could help maintain their health if it was not guided to their heart for practice.
