WILL YOU MISS ME ?

Mo Xiao did not deny it.

Bai Qing was both angry and frustrated.

But despite her temper, she was still soft and delicate, utterly lacking in intimidation.

"Mo Xiao, listen to me." Bai Qing looked at him earnestly, her fair cheeks tinged with a blush, her shoulder strap slipping down, exposing her slender legs, the scene almost provocative.

Mo Xiao's dark eyes deepened, narrowing slightly. "What did you call me?"

"Mo Xiao," Bai Qing was furious, thinking she appeared fearsome.

Yet, in Mo Xiao's eyes, she resembled nothing more than an irate little white cat, its fur standing on end.

"I'm not the kind of person to go back on my word. You want a divorce, and I agreed. I merely didn't want to upset Grandma because of her health. Do you really think I'd complain to her?" Bai Qing's voice trembled with indignation.

Her eyes had reddened.

How could Mo Xiao distrust her like this?

Seeing her genuinely upset, Mo Xiao's voice softened. "I misunderstood you this time."

Bai Qing huffed in response.

Mo Xiao pinched her cheek. "I'll peel you some crabs later."

At the mention of "crabs," Bai Qing felt a wave of nausea but had to suppress it in front of Mo Xiao.

"I went to the hospital today," Bai Qing said softly.

"Weren't you not pregnant?" Mo Xiao's tone was cold.

"Yes, I'm not. But the doctor said my stomach is weak, and I shouldn't eat anything too cold," Bai Qing explained.

So that was the reason.

"You're really quite delicate," Mo Xiao smirked.

Bai Qing bit her lip. "It's all because you've spoiled me. If you keep mocking me, I won't divorce you. It's hard to find someone else who pampers me like this."

As soon as she said it, she regretted it.

Mo Xiao would definitely get angry.

However, instead of anger, Mo Xiao's response was indifferent. "Even if we divorce, I promised to take care of you. You'll live just as well as before. You can continue being your pampered little princess—no one will mistreat you."

Bai Qing looked at him, her eyes full of sorrow.

Wasn't she being mistreated right now?

Empty promises!

"Mo Xiao, has Qingqing woken up yet?" Shen Wan's voice called from outside the door. "Dinner is ready."

"Coming," Mo Xiao replied.

"Hurry up, Lin Mo is here too," Shen Wan urged.

"I know," Mo Xiao responded.

Shen Wan finally turned to go downstairs.

"Get up," Mo Xiao's cold gaze fell on Bai Qing.

Bai Qing looked surprised. "Why is your cousin here?"

Lin Mo was Mo Xiao's cousin, the son of Shen Wan's sister, Shen Yan.

Shen Yan had a temperament entirely different from Shen Wan—gentle and soft-spoken.

"Why are you asking so many questions?" Mo Xiao's voice was icy.

Bai Qing felt stifled.

Mo Xiao's mood changed in a heartbeat.

One moment she was in heaven, the next she was thrown into hell.

"Wear something warmer," Mo Xiao reminded indifferently. "There are guests tonight."

"Guests?" Bai Qing didn't understand.

Mo Xiao narrowed his eyes. "Lin Mo."

He disliked the way Lin Mo looked at Bai Qing.

It wasn't lewd, but there was a certain yearning in his gaze—a desire unfulfilled.

But since Lin Mo was his cousin, and they had been close since childhood, Mo Xiao couldn't confront him about it.

Bai Qing assumed his foul mood was due to Yun Qiqi's illness and didn't bother to argue.

She got out of bed, took a pink V-neck sweater and a pair of white wide-legged pants from the wardrobe, and put them on.

Her delicate collarbone and fair skin made her look irresistibly enchanting.

She tied her long hair into a ponytail, revealing her slender, pale neck, a combination that was nothing short of captivating.

Mo Xiao didn't like it.

He walked over and untied her ponytail.

"What are you doing?" Bai Qing's voice was soft and sweet.

"It doesn't look good," Mo Xiao said coldly.

"If it doesn't look good, so be it. I have to let my hair down while eating—it's inconvenient," Bai Qing reached out her hand. "Give me back my hair tie."

"No," Mo Xiao held the hair tie out of her reach.

Bai Qing stood on her tiptoes, trying to grab it.

At 1.68 meters tall, she was still "short" compared to Mo Xiao's towering 1.9 meters.

Even on tiptoe, she couldn't reach.

Her soft body pressed against Mo Xiao's warm, imposing frame, her small hand pushing against his chest as she strained to reach for the hair tie.

She didn't realize the implications.

From the day they got married, Mo Xiao had never been averse to her touch.

Marriage meant intimacy.

They did what couples were supposed to do.

Bai Qing had gotten used to being close to Mo Xiao.

Suddenly, Mo Xiao wrapped his arm around her slim waist, leaning down to whisper in her ear, "You're really stubborn. Why don't you ask nicely like you used to?"

In the past, Bai Qing would sweetly ask, "Ah Mo, give me back my hair tie. I'll be good."

But now, Bai Qing refused to plead.

This defiance didn't sit well with Mo Xiao.

Bai Qing pushed him away, her clear eyes misting with tears. "Because we can never go back to how we were."

Mo Xiao was momentarily stunned.

Bai Qing stretched out her hand. "Give me the hair tie."

Though she spoke the words he had wanted to hear, her gaze and tone were no longer the same.

"No," Mo Xiao's handsome face darkened as he walked to the window and tossed the hair tie outside.

"You!" Bai Qing bit down on her teeth.

Mo Xiao, radiating a cold, imposing aura, strode out of the room.

Bai Qing was speechless.

They rarely stayed at this house, so she had few personal items here. Most were kept at the apartment.

That hair tie was the only one she had left at the house.

Mo Xiao must be out of his mind!

With no other option, Bai Qing went downstairs with her hair down.

"Qingqing, come here," Shen Wan waved.

Bai Qing walked over.

"Cousin-in-law," Lin Mo's voice was warm as he greeted her.

Bai Qing smiled sweetly, "Cousin."

Mo Xiao's face turned dark.

Lin Mo smiled, a touch of melancholy in his expression.

Bai Qing sat between Mo Xiao and Shen Wan.

Shen Wan immediately placed a large crab on her plate. "Your stomach isn't well, so you can only have one."

"Thank you, Mom," Bai Qing expressed her gratitude.

Thankfully, it was just one.

But the smell of the crab made Bai Qing nauseous.

Still, she suppressed her reaction to avoid raising suspicion.

Just as she reached out to peel the crab, Mo Xiao took it away.

Bai Qing's gaze followed the crab longingly.

Although the smell bothered her, it didn't mean she couldn't eat it.

One would be fine.

"Eat your vegetables. Don't forget the doctor's advice," Mo Xiao's tone was as stern as a father's.

Bai Qing puffed out her cheeks and picked up her chopsticks.

Lin Mo's gaze grew more intense, deepening with a complicated emotion.

After dinner, Mo Xiao and Lin Mo went upstairs to the study to discuss matters.

Bai Qing wandered out to the courtyard.

The Mo family kept a large Samoyed named Snowy.

Snowy was very fond of Bai Qing.

Every time she visited the Mo family's house, she would spend time with Snowy, talking to her.

"Snowy, I might not be able to come see you as often in the future. Will you miss me?" Bai Qing hugged Snowy.

"Why won't you be able to visit anymore?" Lin Mo's deep voice came from behind her. "What's going on between you and Mo Xiao?"
