Arriving At The Front Lines

For someone with such massive honkers, Michael thought she would act like some boss woman.

But surprisingly, she was pretty nice—at a glance, anyway.

"Nice to meet you too, I'm Michael." He accepted her handshake, and so did the rest of the girls.

Each introduced herself in the same manner until, eventually, they were seated right in front of Lila.

"Alright, everyone, I'm sure you've gotten the basic rundown, correct?" Lila asked.

"We were told we would be eliminating pests—that's about it," Michael explained, earning a nod from her in response.

"That's the gist of it. Though the pests are a bit out of control now."

What? Did they turn into super rats? Michael pondered, a shiver going down his spine.

But before he could have any more stupid thoughts, Lila interjected.

"We have some low-level demons on board, and we need your assistance with eliminating them."
