{El Thor}
The blinding column of lightning had seared through the sky, slamming into Void like divine judgment.
When the brightness faded, Void remained kneeling, steam rising from his body, his black bandana barely holding onto his head.
His full-body Armament Haki had absorbed most of the attack, but the pain still burned deep into his bones.
Void gritted his teeth, forcing himself back onto his feet. His muscles ached, his breath was ragged, but he wasn't done. He scanned the battlefield, searching desperately for Enel.
The problem was clear, he couldn't sense him! Enel had merged with the sky itself, leaving no trace for Void's Observation Haki to track.
Lightning crashed all around as Enel unleashed rapid, precise strikes. Bolts of electricity lashed out from seemingly nowhere, striking Void's shoulders, legs, and back in quick succession.
Each impact sent jolts of agony through his body, but Void refused to fall. His resilience kept him upright, but with every second, he was losing ground.
Enel was relentless. A streak of blue bolts shot through the air as another blast struck Void square in the chest, sending him skidding across the ruined battlefield.
Sparks danced across his skin, the acrid scent of burnt fabric filling the air. Spectators watching from afar winced at the brutal assault, some whispering in pity.
"He can't even touch him," Oden murmured gleefully.
"He's completely at Enel's mercy." Buggy whispered as well.
Void clenched his fists, frustration building. He needed to find a way to turn the tide. But how? He couldn't see or sense Enel, and dodging attacks blindly was impossible.
Another bolt ripped through the sky. Void twisted at the last second, letting the attack graze his shoulder instead of striking him head-on. The pain was immediate, but he used the momentum to launch himself forward, hoping to escape Enel's relentless onslaught.
More lightning followed, striking faster than Void could react. His entire body trembled as he endured the punishment. He tried to move, but another blast struck his ribs, momentarily numbing his limbs.
"Damn it!" Void growled, slamming his fist into the ground as he struggled to stay on his feet.
From above, Enel watched with amusement. Void was a durable one, he'd give him that. But without the ability to locate him, the fight was a foregone conclusion. Still, Enel wanted to see how much more punishment he could take.
Void exhaled, forcing himself to focus. He couldn't rely on his eyes.
'If only I didn't have this Blind Fold!'
That much was clear. But sound… It was the key. But Enel did not appear to try to reveal his location again it seems.
Sighing.
He closed his eyes, ignoring the pain, ignoring the fear. He tuned out everything, the roaring wind, the crackling thunder, the distant murmurs of onlookers. Instead, he focused on the subtle shifts in the air, the faint hum of electricity gathering before each attack.
Then he heard it. A snicker! (P/R: Getting Caught Lacking Enel... tch... tch... tch)
It was faint, barely audible over the chaos, but it was there. A moment of overconfidence. A fatal mistake.
Void's eyes snapped open, now glowing with fierce intensity. Without hesitation, he exploded into motion, vanishing from sight in a blur of speed. The ground shattered beneath his feet as he propelled himself upward, aiming directly at the source of the sound.
Enel barely had time to react before Void's hand clamped around his throat like a clamp. The smugness in his eyes was instantly replaced by shock.
"What?!?!"
Void didn't hesitate. With all his strength, he hurled Enel downward. The air whipped as Enel's body crashed into the earth, the sheer force of the impact sending a shockwave rippling through the battlefield. A massive crater formed where Enel landed, dust and debris rising.
Void descended like a vengeful meteor, landing atop Enel and tightening his grip on his throat. His killing intent surged as he reeled back his fist, ready to end it.
His Armament-coated knuckles gleamed ominously, the sheer pressure distorting the air around them.
For the third time, Enel felt his life was in danger! Since joining the blue sea.
Just as Void was about to strike, a firm hand caught his wrist.
A subtle smile. A presence overwhelming yet calm.
Draco.
"WHO THE HELL AR-...!" Dark Void snarled, his voice layered with something sinister, something not entirely his own. But before he could finish, Void's inner self shouted internally.
"OI! That's our captain!"
But Draco had already made his decision. With a casual flick of his finger, he sent Void flying across the battlefield.
Boom!
Void's body crashed into Shanks, who had been animatedly arguing with Buggy about a rematch. The impact sent both of them hurtling across the field in a chaotic spiral.
Shanks groaned from the ground, dazed. "Huh…? What just-?"
His ghostly spirit humorously floated from his mouth as he lay sprawled out, barely conscious.
Buggy, seeing this, shrieked in laughter. "BAHAHAHA! SHANKS, YOU IDIOT! LOOK AT YOU!"
Oden, watching from the sidelines, let out a booming laugh. "Now that's entertainment!"
Void groaned, rubbing the large bump forming on his forehead. His darker self-had been silenced, and his consciousness had returned. But one thing was clear.
Draco had stepped in.
And that meant the fight was over
Did he pass the second test?
[Marine HQ]
BOOM!
The air around Marine HQ was thick with tension, a weight that pressed down on every soldier present. The news of the pirate's victory echoed through the halls like an ominous curse, and the once orderly atmosphere of the base had transformed into one of chaos.
Inside the war room, Admiral Candidate Adam's fury was palpable, his immense frame seething with raw emotion.
His fists clenched so tightly that his veins bulged, and his face, usually very composed! Was now a mask of rage. The death of Kong, a man Adam had considered both a mentor and a friend, hit him harder than anything he had ever experienced in his life.
Kong had been a symbol of strength, wisdom, and camaraderie in the Marines. To see him fall at the hands of a pirate... the very beings Adam had sworn to eradicate was a blow that shattered something deep inside him.
"Calm down, Adam!" one of the lower-ranking Marines called out, but his voice barely made it past the roar of Adam's rage.
Adam's eyes burned with intensity, his body trembling with anger. He turned toward the nearest pillar, his fists raised in fury.
The Marine HQ trembled with every step Adam took, the ground beneath his feet cracking and splitting as if it were made of paper.
His strength was unrivaled, and in his current state, he was a force of nature... wild, untamed, and unstoppable.
With a deafening roar, Adam swung his arm toward a large metal door. The force of his blow sent the door flying across the room, smashing into the far wall with a deafening crash.
"RAHHHHH!" Adam screamed, his voice reverberating throughout the island. He charged across the facility, his massive frame moving with terrifying speed and power.
Every punch he landed on the walls, columns, and equipment sent shockwaves through the building, causing ceilings to collapse and walls to crumble. The very foundation of Marine HQ seemed to buckle under the weight of his fury.
Marines scrambled in all directions, doing their best to avoid the rampaging force of nature that was Adam. Some shouted for reinforcements, most of the Marines who had gone to war at Water 7 had yet to return. No one was left to stand in his way. No one could!
"Sir, please... you need to stop!" another Marine pleaded, but Adam's rage was blinding.
Adam didn't hear them. His mind was clouded with grief, sorrow, and rage, each emotion feeding into the other, creating a storm of violence that he couldn't control.
His arms lashed out with devastating force, tearing through the walls like paper. One punch shattered the reinforced steel door, another obliterated a communication station.
The island shook once more, and the ground beneath Adam's feet cracked open as if the Earth itself was being split apart.
His Devil Fruit ability was known to few, and even fewer could understand its true potential. Adam had the power to manipulate and fracture any material came into contact with, bending the very elements of the world to his will.
In his current state, the combination of his grief and anger had unlocked a terrifying, destructive force that even Rear Admirals feared.
Then, as quickly as it had begun, Adam froze. His muscles tightened, and his breath came in shallow gasps. He collapsed to one knee, clutching his stomach as though the weight of his actions had finally caught up with him. The roar of his rage turned to a strained grunt as he gasped for air.
The Marines who had watched from the sidelines, too afraid to intervene, began to murmur among themselves.
"Is he done rampaging...?" one of them whispered.
"I've never seen him like this before," another said, his voice trembling. "The news was bad, but he's taking it... worse than any of us."
"He had a better relationship with Kong than most of us," another murmured. "This... this isn't just about duty. It's personal."
The whispers spread through the crowd as Adam remained on his knee, his shoulders heaving with exhaustion. For a long moment, no one dared to move or speak.
They were witnessing something they had only heard rumors about... Adam's power was terrifying, but the way it consumed him from within was equally frightening.
Then, in a movement that made some onlookers' blood run cold, Adam rose to his feet. His eyes, filled with an intensity that bordered on madness, slowly walked to a nearby mountain. The rocky peaks that overlooked Marine HQ, each with a small building on top carrying the Marine flag.
With a deliberate motion, Adam reached out toward one of the mountain's jagged edges. His hand closed around the rock as though it were a fragile piece of paper, and for a moment, nothing seemed to happen.
Then, with a low growl, the surface of the mountain began to shift. White cracks appeared along the stone, spreading outward like veins of light, tracing patterns across the rock's surface.
The cracks deepened and multiplied, their white glow intensifying with each passing second. It was as if the stone itself was being torn apart from within.
The white lines turned to an ominous black, the darkness spreading faster than the eye could follow. The entire mountain shuddered violently as the cracks grew wider, the rock splintering and crumbling as if the very core of it had been shattered.
The earth itself groaned under the strain, and the once-solid peak began to collapse inward, crumbling into dust and rubble in a matter of moments.
The power of Adam's ability had fully taken hold, and the mountain that had once stood proudly was now nothing more than a broken, destroyed shell.
"Is that... the power of his Devil Fruit!?" one Marine asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Yes," another answered, his face pale. "It's said that Adam's Devil Fruit has the potential to destroy our whole world!"
Adam stood there, his chest heaving, as the remains of the mountain smoldered in the distance. His body was shaking, not from physical exhaustion, but from the overwhelming flood of emotions that threatened to drown him.
The anger was still there, simmering beneath the surface, but it was now tinged with a deep sadness.
Kong was gone. And the pirate who had killed him had earned Adam's unyielding hatred.
"This isn't over," Adam muttered, his voice low and filled with venom. "I will make them pay."
