Two more followers

The siblings were stunned when they saw the deadly sword strike.

From the horde of zombies, a boy with a confident demeanor cleaved every zombie in his path in two without exception.

Looking at Li Chen, the three siblings were awestruck, their jaws dropped to the ground.

With each strike from Li Chen, the number of zombies dwindled.

Beside Li Chen was the terrified Feng, trembling from head to toe, ready to pass out from fright.

"One last piece," Li Chen muttered and killed the remaining zombies surrounding them.

With them out of the way, Li Chen went to the three siblings and commanded, "Follow me."

"Y-Yeah…." Their eldest brother responded with a shaky voice.

Quickly, Li Chen led the group back to his territory.

When they returned inside the Wild Goose Chamber, the siblings breathed a sigh of relief and looked at Li Chen with faces filled with gratitude.

Standing by the side, Feng was trembling with his head low, tears hanging at the corners of his eyes.

Li Chen turned his gaze to him without any expression on his face.

"What are you still doing in my territory?" he demanded in a cold voice.

Thud!

"Young Master, please don't kill me." Feng fell to his knees and begged with teary eyes.

"I don't want useless people around me. Get out now. Perhaps, you can find another good Samaritan."

Samaritan?!

This word left everyone confused. They looked at each other, not understanding what it meant.

As for Li Chen, he didn't care about their thoughts and glared at Feng.

Feeling his cold, piercing gaze, Feng shivered and muttered with firm determination, "Y-Young Master, give me a second chance to prove myself." He looked at Li Chen's face.

"Really?" Li Chen had a smile that was not a smile on his face.

"Kill ten zombies, and I will allow you back inside my territory."

Ten!

Feng exclaimed in his heart, but he knew this was the best compromise such a ruthless boy would give him.

Left with no choice, he picked up his hammer and looked at the faces of those inside the room, hoping they would say a word or two to placate Li Chen.

Unfortunately for him, no one had such thoughts in their minds.

Seeing this, he sighed and dragged his now-heavy legs out of the building.

Meanwhile, the previously empty street had begun to crowd with zombies walking aimlessly.

The moment Feng came outside, his fresh blood was like a beacon, and all the zombies rushed toward him.

Watching the terrifying heads of the zombies shattered the little courage he had summoned.

"Young Master, please let me in," Feng shouted, fear marring his face.

He pleaded with tears streaming from his eyes, but those inside the room did not move an inch to save him.

Ahhhhh! Ahhhhh!

His miserable screams filled the quiet street as Feng was devoured alive.

Na shivered, looking at the gory scene before her eyes. 'Will he do the same thing to me?' she thought and trembled.

Li Chen turned and looked at the people inside the room. "I will say this for the last time. If you're going to be useless, now is the best time to leave my territory."

The three siblings held each other and trembled. Previously, they thought a savior had come to rescue them, but now they did not think so.

"Guiyin, follow me, and you join us," he pointed at the eldest of the three siblings.

Everyone held their breath, watching Li Chen's ruthless decision. These three just lost their parents—can't he wait for them to recover?

Even though they had such thoughts, no one dared voice them. Without caring about them, Li Chen asked the boy his name and it was then everyone learned his name was Zhou Wen.

"Zhou Wen, target their heads and avoid being surrounded by them," Li Chen advised with a solemn voice and then turned to Manager Bo.

"Prepare a room for them. Don't include his." He pointed at Zhou Wen.

"Why?" Guiyin asked.

"Because we don't know if he will make it or not."

With that, he opened the small exit and walked out of the building.

Guiyin and Zhou Wen froze for a second before they followed after him.

Guiyin knew that just because she had somewhat become his woman, Li Chen was an unpredictable son of a bastard.

Thus, she better try her best to stay alive.

With Li Chen coming out, five zombies walking aimlessly on the street turned to him.

Bang! Bang!

Easily, their heads were separated from their bodies, and he took a dagger to dig out red crystals from their chests.

"Take that hammer," Li Chen said, pointing to the hammer dropped by Feng.

Taking a deep breath, Zhou Wen took the hammer, his gaze becoming resolute as for Guiyin, she had her weapon, a thin sword.

"Follow my lead," Li Chen said in a low voice.

With that, he led them to find food.

Meanwhile, those hiding and on the brink of dying of hunger saw three young people walking on the street and were shocked.

Are they tired of living?

"The restaurant is on the next street," Guiyin whispered.

She wiped the beads of sweat from her forehead.

It was now she realized how tense the street was. The tension was nerve-wracking; many times she wished this was a dream.

Li Chen didn't know how Guiyin was feeling, and if he did, he wouldn't do anything about it.

Quickly, the three approached the next street. Walking aimlessly on the third street were hundreds of zombies.

Looking at them, Guiyin and Zhou Wen sucked in a cold breath.

"Don't make a noise. Follow me," Li Chen said in a hushed voice.

The two nodded and followed after him.

However, the three barely taken a couple of steps when a zombie turned in their direction.

Shriek!

A screech came out of its mouth, and all the zombies turned to Li Chen and his squad.

Looking at their savage expressions, Li Chen's face didn't change.

"Get ready. Target their heads and avoid being surrounded." He gave the last advice and rushed toward the zombies.

What looked like a clumsy squad would later turn into a deadly trio that would send shivers down the spines of everyone who encountered them in the nearest future.
