I'll never let you forget it

The moment Alicia's question echoed in the room loud and unapologetic I felt something shift. Layla's face turned a deep, almost unnatural shade of red, and I could practically see the steam rising from her ears. Meanwhile, my smirk only grew wider.

She didn't answer right away, which made it all the more entertaining. Her eyes darted around the room, desperately looking for an escape.

She even opened her mouth a couple of times like she was about to say something, only to clamp it shut again.

I leaned back against the couch, crossing my arms with deliberate nonchalance, the corners of my mouth twitching upward.

"Take your time, Layla," I said, my tone laced with teasing. "We're all waiting. No pressure." The air practically crackled with tension as all eyes in the room zeroed in on her.

Layla shot me a glare sharp enough to cut through steel, her cheeks already glowing pink.
