Anya and Kaelan stood outside an empty warehouse, bursting with energy. The hunters were on their way, they could almost feel them coming, preparing to launch the imminent attack that was about to begin in order to defend the covert werewolf haven.
It was a risky scheme, but it needed to be done. Anya would be the hunter, playing at chances of a bounty for anyone who could tell her where the sanctuary was located. They'd think they found their mark and Kaelan would be the only thing getting caught but instead of Anya, he was just playing at being her werewolf.
The hunters fell for Anya's ploy and went with her to the warehouse. But when Kaelan questioned Anya the hunters came rushing at them since they were sure no one would find Ao, but here we have the proof that he was close and all heavy with blood.
But they had no idea that Kaelan had a surprise in store for them. The nu-werewolves he had coaxed into using the warehouse as a den, and then locked them in to die once the hunters started hunting.
But these lycanthropes stood apart, younglings combined with grizzled veterans. They had a single aim, one that called only for the boldest of acts — to keep their sanctuary and their species.
He attacks you with the multiple werewolves from the warehouse, out of his mind. The warehouse buzzed with saws and snarling, and a fight surged through the place.
Anya and Kaelan had struggled with adrenaline racing through their hearts, every bit as fierce as the wolves they fought. They had seen to it that this time, they would rid the land of hunters and retain their flee hole a little longer — that way they could live a little longer-Flesh Tone (1)
The battle continued on in the hours that followed, with putrid sweat mingling with ichor and cordite to bloat and squat together in the air we drew. Anya and Kaelan had been brought into fight as well, both unexperienced but skilled.
He flew through hunter after hunter, all of them so precise and deadly. Anya was even better for her fight, knowing how hunters fight and using it to edge away from their blows.
The battle wore on and Anya was getting tired. She felt achy and hoarse. But she refused to give up.
The werewolves put up one final fight against the hunters as it seemed like they were going to claim victory. The outnumbered hunters began retreating.
As the hunters disappeared into the pitch darkness of the night both Anya and Kaelan were left to breathe easier. The sanctuary restored, the werewolves were finally safe.
As they walked away from the warehouse, hand in hand Anya centered herself around this hope that she was sensing. She knew that it could all mean very little, and at the same time she knew that whatever it meant for either of them neither would ever be alone.
I mean… Brilliant," Kaelan said, eyes full of sparkle.
At that Anya smiled with fresh affection for him. "Way to go, you did okay too.
Kaelan laughed, and then he drew her in. He exhaled a shushed, "Why don´t we know it all?
Restless, Anya nodded, her now full heart spinning. "We do," she said.
They still had a long night travelling ahead of them, and Anya knew that this journey was just beginning. But as long as he was there with her, whatever came next, she could handle it.
Epilogue:
Sure it was safe in the haven a little less fear of being alive for a werewolf.
They morphed into alpha werewolves taking the struggle for their rights, and soon Anya and Kaelan were engineering matters amongst the shifters.
They fought every step of the way, but always they would hold on to their end– a world where werewolf and human could live together in harmony.
Anya and Kaelan stood side by side a glimpse of the refuge they both bled to preserve, so many years ago.
Their love had even it dare the world and they well-aware that nothing could blows them apart as long as they were together.
Here's the continuation:
Anya smiled at her, and Kaelan took a quick look around the sanctuary.
Words surrounded by our tears: we made it."
Kaelan caught her as she screamed and fell into the darkness of his arms.
'Yes, we did,' he said with a great deal of gratification.
And sat by the side of it, while each ember was being poured out their veins like golden honey at the corner of dusk.
They had been through thick and thin, with each other, hand in hand.
And in the fight, how did their love hold up?
Epilogue II: Fading Away
As the years passed, the sanctuary flourished. Anya and Kaelan were fables amidst the wolves, a ying yang who clash for nothing but themselves.
And so they made a whole messy life of love, joy and fun.
Anya was one of those people, who preached that peace and understanding between humans and werewolves should be embraced wherever she went.
Kaelan, the boy who was no coward, who never paused at his oath.
And a marriage, and two beautiful children, with her now ex-hubby: a boy and a girl (both bright intrinsic bonanzas for Michele as they are obviously located in the space their parents glowing courage love-spans emit.
It was world of its own here two worlds and humanity lived together.
Love is for the Sinclairs, but not the man who had once been loved by an outright Anya. But everything changed because of Anya's love!
