Using the System
Inside the emperor's vast throne room, the remnants of a battle lingered. Corpses and the stench of blood filled the air, marking the massacre that had just occurred. Amidst the darkness, Li Huang's voice broke through the stillness.
"What can you do?" Li Huang asked coldly, his gaze fixed on the emptiness, though he was speaking to the "System" that had just appeared in his mind.
[ I am the Eternal Emperor System. My ability is to summon soldiers. ]
"That's it?" Li Huang asked, slightly disappointed.
[ Yes, Host. Other functions will unlock as the host becomes stronger. ]
Li Huang furrowed his brows slightly. "Do you not have a beginner's gift?"
The system was silent for a moment before responding awkwardly.
[ I almost forgot. Congratulations, Host, you have received a beginner's gift! ]
Li Huang sighed softly in frustration. "Open it."
Immediately, the system's voice rang out:

Li Huang reviewed everything he had received, his bright red eyes gleaming with satisfaction. "I want to merge the Eternal Emperor's Body with mine. Will there be any visible changes?"
[ Certainly, Host, ] the system replied promptly.
"Merge the Eternal Emperor's Body with mine, and conceal it," Li Huang ordered.
[ Understood, Host. ]
Suddenly, a powerful surge of energy erupted from Li Huang's body. Impurities and foreign substances were expelled as his body gradually became purer. Immense power surged within him, yet everything outside the room appeared normal, as if nothing had occurred. Before long, his body had completely merged with the Eternal Emperor's Body, and the power he felt was vastly different.
Li Huang then calmly sat down. He swiftly took the "Four Paths Heavenly Pill" and swallowed it. Intense spiritual energy erupted from within him. His previously nonexistent cultivation soared, rapidly reaching the first level of Foundation, and did not stop until it broke through to the peak of Foundation!
As the surge of energy settled, Li Huang opened his eyes, his red eyes shining like gemstones. He smiled coldly.

"Dark Shadow Secret Unit?" Li Huang raised an eyebrow slightly. "How do I use them?"
[ This system allows the host to summon soldiers daily. For example, the Dark Shadow Secret Unit that you've just received. The system will create 10 members of the Dark Shadow Secret Unit for the host each day. ]
Li Huang pondered this and asked, "Only 10 a day? Can I increase the number?"
[ The host can increase the number of summons each day by upgrading the summoning card, ] the system replied quickly but offered no further explanation. Irritated, Li Huang snapped,
"Explain everything to me at once. Do I have to ask for every single detail?"
[ Certainly, Host, ] the system responded cheerfully.
Li Huang chuckled softly, a mocking smile on his lips. "Fine, I'll ask then. How do I upgrade the summoning card?"
[ The host must earn kill points, which are obtained by killing people, cultivators, beasts, or other entities. The points are calculated based on the level of the target the host kills. For example, a level 1 Qi Condition will give 10 points, a level 9 Qi Condition will give 90 points, a level 1 Foundation will give 100 points, and a level 9 Foundation will give 900 points. The points increase progressively up to the highest level, the Great Emperor, which will give 10 trillion points. ]
Li Huang listened carefully as the system explained everything in detail, his eyes glowing with determination. "Kill points... it seems I don't have many choices."
Standing amidst the silence of the throne room, with corpses and the scent of blood still lingering around him, Li Huang contemplated everything that had happened. A faint smile appeared on his face as he spoke calmly.
"What about the ten shadows I killed earlier?"

Li Huang nodded in satisfaction as he thought through the plan he was beginning to form, before asking his next question. "Where can I find more summoning cards?"
[Once the Host upgrades the system to level 2, additional summoning cards will become available. ]
"And what do I need to upgrade the system?" Li Huang asked, bracing himself for the answer.
[ You need 50,000 points to upgrade the system to level 2. ]
Li Huang smiled slightly. Although the cost was high, he didn't seem too displeased. "Don't you have a system interface for me to see?"
[ The system interface will only be available once the system reaches level 2, ] the system answered clearly.
Li Huang felt a tinge of frustration but understood that it would take time to accumulate enough points to upgrade the system. He quickly changed the subject. "Show me the details of the Dark Shadow Secret Unit."
[ Dark Shadow Secret Unit, Level 1: They have cultivation at the peak of the Foundation stage. They are an elite intelligence and assassination unit, capable of ensuring successful assassinations. "We have come to serve the Emperor. Awaiting your command!"
Li Huang gazed at them with satisfaction, his bright red eyes cold as he looked upon the ten Dark Shadows. Without hesitation, he raised his sword to execute them, but the ten remained motionless, showing no signs of resistance.
