chapter 2

Trouble lurking 

" Can someone tell me what is going on here?

The principal angrily asked again with a hint of confusion in his voice.

"Why is it so noisy and crowded?

Everyone kept quiet nobody dared alter a word 

"Are you all deaf and dumped all of a sudden? Do you want to be punished?

" What with the whole silence thing happening here ? He asked moving into the boys dorm angrily as something caught his attention immediately.

He paused and looked down, he saw a boy lying lifeless on the floor drenched with God knows how many buckets of water has been poured on him.

" Oh my Gosh what happened to him ? He moved closer in a hurry, almost slipping due to the wet floor. He got to him and placed his hands on the boy's neck,

He's running temperature, he's still breathing.

He looked up again at the students and asked," What happened to James?How did this happen, and why's no staff notified immediately?.

 Nobody said anything. He stood up angrily moving closer to the students again, in an attempt to hit them but a voice stopped him.

It was the dorm prefect 

"Sir please rush him to the clinic immediately, these one's would still be dealt with after on, Let save James first.

At least let be grateful that he only passed out, and it is not more than that.  Cause if it were, you won't even be here looking for who to blame or hit. Someone please lend me a hand to lift him and take him to the clinic. He looked so drenched and cold. 

Immediately he was rushed to the school clinic. Everyone in the dorm was still trying to digest what happened just now to them 

" What just happened now ? Moses asked 

" I don't know," Ken answered. James is at the hospital, while Emmanuel is still missing. He's still not returned yet.

What if something bad had happened to him? because what exactly could explain why James ran inside here drenched, and even fainted, while Emmanuel has still not gotten here.

By this time everyone in the school hostel has come out, everywhere was disorganized,everyone dropping into the dorm and out.

" What happened to James, why did he faint ? A junior student asked ken.

" And how do you expect me to know that ? ,would you just mind your business and get the hell out of here ken  replied angrily avoiding the question being thrown at him.

He was concerned about the danger ahead of them now, because he sensed danger ahead.

Everyone in Ken's dorm was in panic,they couldn't sleep that night,even after they were all asked to go back to their various dorm to go and sleep lots of questions were running into their heads.

" Should we go into the bush to look for Emmanuel?He still hasn't entered here, it is already midnight Moses voiced out. 

 what if something had happened to him?I don't know but I am feeling scared. Please, let's go to the bush maybe we could find him somewhere.

" I won't go with you ken replied,

What if something had happened to him? So you want the same thing to happen to me ?. Please I love my life so much,I am the first and only son of my family. Please you can go with someone else,or rather go alone and not come with you.

Moses looked around him, searching for anyone that would volunteer to go with him, but nobody said a word, everyone kept him mute.

He couldn't go alone cause he himself was scared, he just layed back on his bunk bed and covered himself with a duvet, but couldn't sleep. His thoughts were just going wild and back, he didn't know he could get this scary. All of a sudden he couldn't explain to himself how he felt, because it was all like a mixture of fear and confusion at the same time.

" Oh God help us," he exclaimed . 

"I hope Emmanuel is safe wherever he is please,I haven't prayed to you in a while now please forgive me and help me this last time, and I won't get myself involved in something like this again please Lord.

He thought about his mom and his dad's disappointment if he gets suspended or expelled from school.He wouldn't know how to face them cause they've fronted him as a good and well mannered child in front of everywhere. Lord please come to my aid he muttered and tried to sleep, hoping he would sleep off cause he was thinking too much now.

" Has anyone fallen asleep?he called out but they all said no.

" Sleep in this kind of situation?Ken muttered, that person would really have much guts to do that cause right now I am so scared of what will happen to us all tomorrow that are involved in this misfortune, and I don't even know how to face my family if what I am dreading about befalls me. I just pray and hope it doesn't get worse because I'm already suffocating with fear. They all slept with fear that night all awaiting the worst for tomorrow for them all
