Chapter 3 Bleeding

Chapter 3 Bleeding

The lean woman in her nightgown, scrunched up in a chair, her eyes fixed on the steaming coffee, the light casting a gentle circle over her face.

The scene pierced Ethan's heart, and the tip of his nose flared.

If there was happiness in the world, it was probably watching Thea in silence.

But that happiness was fleeting.

When Thea saw Ethan enter, the calmness in her eyes turned to disgust.

Seeing this, Ethan smiles to himself and resigns himself to walking over and taking Thea into his arms.

He loved her, even if she hated him.

Thea held back for a moment before whispering, "You feed me."

Ethan froze, "Coffee?"

Thea said impatiently, "Don't you usually like to do that?"

Of course Ethan liked it, he liked taking care of Thea's food and clothing, feeding her and putting her to bed.

But Thea has always abhorred him for doing these things ...

Why today ...

Suppressing the doubts in his heart, Ethan picked up the coffee and suddenly paused when he fed it to Thea's lips.

Thea asked uneasily, "What's wrong?"

Ethan laughed, "Stanley gave me some medicine to replenish qi and nourish blood today, you take some too, it's good for your body."

With that, he took out the new medicine Stanley gave him from the drawer.

Once upon a time, he had fed her while she was asleep.

Thea was unmistakable.

After eating the medicine right out of his hand, she drank her coffee clean again.

Then she leaned into Ethan's arms and kissed his nice fruity scent.

It was said that when your genes chose another person's genes, they smelled good to you even if they weren't perfumed.

Thea snorted when she saw the segment.

Choose?

There was no way in hell she was going to choose a murderer.

*****

It seemed like a nap.

When she woke up again, Thea realized that she was still in Ethan's arms, and he had kept his body in that position so as not to disturb her sleep.

Thea tilted her head from this position just enough to see his angular features, as if they were the beloved masterpieces of a master sculptor, cold and seductive from his eyebrows to the crest of his nose to the line of his lips and lower forehead.

"Awake?" Ethan looked down at her with tenderness in his eyes.

Thea also said to him in an unprecedentedly gentle tone, "Ethan, my stomach hurts a little."

Ethan froze, "How come?"

Instead, Thea pulled her hand out from under her thigh, allowing Ethan to see the blood stain on her hand.

Ethan panicked.

His hands shaking, he lifted Thea off his body and looked at the small of her back ...

The snow white nightgown was stained with a blood stain.

Not only that.

The bright red blood, dripping down her thighs, fell onto the wooden floor.

In this silent night, it was especially eerie.

"Thea," Ethan's voice trembled, and in the next moment, fiercely hugged her and rushed towards the elevator to the garage.

Blood, dripping down the hallway, fell all the way.

The pain in the small of her back, too, became excruciating.

Honestly.

Thea remembered Ethan, has always been or ruthless, or calm, or gentle ... never seen him so flustered.

The hands holding her were trembling, and the sky collapsed in general.

Thea listened to him angrily scolding the driver to let the driver in driving faster, inwardly actually wanted to laugh.

But the pain in her stomach made it impossible for her to laugh, and she could only grab Ethan's sleeve helplessly and let the pain overwhelm her.

Layer after layer of cold sweat wrapped around her as her consciousness faded.

Ethan's shivering voice lingered in her ears-

"Thea, almost there."

"Don't go to sleep, be a good girl and hold on a little longer ..."

...

Finally.

She was carried on a stretcher.

The smell of formalin spread out.

Thea bit the tip of her tongue hard, forcing herself to wake up, then, looking at the pale Ethan, she smiled and said-

"Ethan, I'm actually pregnant, three months."

"But I don't want the baby."

"You know what? The abortion pill is in that cup of coffee ..."

She looked at him as she wished, watched as the blood drained from his face and his entire being was drowned in despair.

Only then did she slowly say, "It's a shame ... that you fed it to me by hand."

"Ethan! calm down!"

Inside the large conference room.

Stanley desperately peeled away the hand that clutched his neck.

Holding onto the corner of the table, he panted heavily, "It's useless even if you strangle me to death, do you know what that Thea of yours is taking? It's a banned drug explicitly banned by the International Pharmaceutical Association! It can only be used when doing experiments! It's true that a single pill can abort a seven or eight month old child cleanly ... but the damage to the uterus is irreversible!"

The more she said, the more odd Stanley's tone became, "Where did Thea get this rare stuff? It is reasonable that she is locked up in your house every day ..."

Ethan's murderous glare managed to stop Stanley from saying anything else.

After a long time, Ethan spat out a cold syllable from his lips, "Clara! It must be her!"

Stanley: ????

"What? Does this have something to do with your stepmother?"

Ethan sneered, "She was alone with Thea the other day."

"Hiss ...," Stanley s*ck*d in a cold breath, "That's a really harsh tactic! This is to cut off Thea's path to becoming a mom in the future! Because of this drug, Thea will never be able to get pregnant again in her life ..."

"Shut up!"

Ethan suppressed the urge to rush back to Ethan's family and stab Clara to death.

"Back then, I gave her a few moments of face on account of Noah being dead ... I didn't think she'd dare ... really think I wouldn't dare touch her?"

Stanley rubbed the fingerprints on his neck and said helplessly, "What does their family messing with you have to do with me, every time you get mad at me, last time it was smashing my lab, and this time you almost didn't strangle me to death."

After muttering a few sentences, Stanley sighed again and said, "The truth of that year, you'd better make it clear with Thea, it's not a solution for her to keep misunderstanding you like this. Why did Noah marry her back then? It's not because he knows you like her. He has always liked to rob you since he was a child! Exactly like his mother Clara ..."

Ethan narrowed his eyes, remembering the past that was fast fading into oblivion ...

When he was seven years old, his mother died of an illness, and right after the funeral, his father showed up with a beautifully made-up woman who smiled like a flower and asked him to call her mom.

He knew this woman existed.

Clara, his father's college sweetheart, Ethan's family was on the verge of bankruptcy, his father had no choice but to break up with his first love, and his mother's business marriage.

Who would have thought that his father had never stopped seeing Clara, not only did he take her as his lover, but they also had an illegitimate child together - Noah.

What's even more ironic is that Noah is a year older than him, the young master of Ethan's family ....

He looked at the family of three with indifference and said calmly, "My mom died, does auntie want to be there for her too?"

Clara's face changed greatly, and Noah behind him even swung his fist to punch him.

But he was stopped by his father.

It wasn't that his father loved him so much, but after his mother's death, his mother's group went crazy and bought fifty-one percent of Ethan's company and transferred it to his name.

Ethan, at the age of seven, was the true owner of COMPANY.

Even though his father doted on the illegitimate son, he knew that Noah would have to rely on him for handouts to survive in the future.

So, from then on, every time the two had an argument, his father would always advise Noah to back down, and the cynicism in Noah's heart towards him grew deeper and deeper ...

Heh ...
