She belongs to me

Jasmine watched in satisfaction as they broke apart.

It took her little effort to get here, she had followed Bane.

Before he left her office, she had slipped a tracker into his jacket pocket and it brought her here.

"Are the both of you out of your fucking mind?" She asked with a gun in her hand.

"Jasmine?" Jordan called out in surprise.

Walking towards them with a frown on her face, she slaps the gun out Bane's hand.

The rest of the men could only watch in silence as she took Jordan out of the house.

Bane cussed under his breath but did nothing.

"Get in," Jasmine said as she circled to the driver's seat of her car.

Her cold eyes flickered slightly when he stood gazing at her.

There was confusion written all over Jordan's face, she had waltzed in there and ended the face down he was having with that strange man without breaking a sweat.

"Who are you?" Jordan asked, his voice devoid of any warmth.

Jasmine stood on the other side of her car and merely reacted to his question.

If things had happened differently, they would have been married by now and probably on their honeymoon but things didn't go as planned.

Still dressed in a tuxedo, she could not deny the hatred pooling at the bottom of his brown eyes.

"I'm Jasmine-

"Don't tell me that bullshit, you just shot at us in there now without a care. What is your relationship with him?" He asked again, Jasmine let out a cold chuckle.

"If you are ready to leave, get in and if you are not you can go back in there.

I came here because I would feel guilty if I didn't. Don't forget our families are rivals" She spat and entered the car.

Jordan's hand balled up in anger, he entered the car and avoided looking at her.

Jasmine Whyte, has always been notorious for her indifference, coldness and rudeness to other people but he has never witnessed it in close proximity like this and he now hates the sight of her.

He must have been naive to think they could get married.

Bane's words are also echoing in his mind.

Jasmine belongs to him..

"If I drop you at the nearest landmark, can you find your way home?" Jasmine asked suddenly and her question surprised Jordan.

She is so cruel. He thought silently.

He had forgotten to get his phone from the men when they were leaving, it would be impossible to get home.

"No, take me home," he replied.

His thoughts wander off to his parents, his disappearance must have shocked them but he cannot return like this, it would even make them more worried.

~

They get to his house and Jasmine is almost boiling over in anger but her mood worsens when a petite figure jumps into Jordan's arms in excitement.

Without another glance at them she drove off in speed.

"Isn't that Miss Whyte?" Austin asked in a trembling voice after she had gone.

Jordan ignored his question and walked into the house, fatigue was finally catching up with him.

"Where have you been?

What happened?

Who were they?" Austin continued to berate him with several questions.

"Dad had sent several people to find you and he reported to police this morning, but who would have thought you would come back yourself". His sister, Olivia spoke up and finally got an answer out of Jordan.

"Give me your phone" he stretched out a hand to Austin.

He needs to contact his parents as soon as possible but his main issue now is Bane and Jasmine.

He hates when he is told not to do something and now he even wants to do that thing more.

But the thought of getting married to Jasmine fills him with apprehension and despite their argument he was curious about her

She is full of mystery that he would love to unravel them one after the other.

He must admit that she intrigued him, even if he could have strangled her in the car from anger if he had not controlled himself.

His parents were relieved after hearing from him and he reassured them that he is fine but he was far from that.

Jasmine Whyte..

"The maid is making some food for you, why don't you clean up before she is done" Olivia pops into the room to tell him, her clear eyes dancing with happiness.

Jasmine returned home to meet everyone waiting for her.

She had chosen to come here tonight so that she can inform them about her decision to not marry Jordan anymore even if the wedding had ended in the opposite direction she knows what her father is capable of doing.

The company will survive and the family legacy will live on but she cannot pretend to be a perfect wife to an imperfect husband.

She is more than that.

"Where have you been since you left the company?" Her grandfather asked careful as she sat down.

"I went to solve an issue?" She replied curtly and waited for him to continue his grooming.

She was aware she would almost be eaten alive for ending the wedding ceremony yesterday and for the meeting at the company today but she does not give much thought to them.

"Lewis' family had sent words of apology, another wedding date would be decided on very soon" her father spoke up.

Her guess has been right.

And Jasmine looked at him with a frown.

"What wedding?"

"Don't start Jasmine, you would get married to Jordan no matter what.

Our family's integrity depends heavily on it.

And your integrity too, no one would want to marry you when you get old. Women's value lies in their marriage" Her father continued and her expression became cold and dark.

"It's my integrity and it's my business on what to do with it. If you want the family's integrity I'm willing to work towards that but not in a forced marriage".

"Listen to your father, take a look at me. I'm married and I'm happy. I always get worried any time I look at you.

Men don't like over ambitious women" Her stepmother, Samantha chipped into the conversation.

Jasmine's expression remained passive, she was used to hearing this and that's why she went wild while she was in college and nobody ever noticed.

Not even her father.
