Accused

The ringing of her phone woke Jasmine up from her sleep.

She groaned as she searched blindly for the device, the name on the screen made her frown.

What does he want this early?

"Come home now!" Her father's voice barked into her ear and Jasmine threw the phone away from her.

Jasmine got home a couple of hours later, her mood was worse than the previous day's.

She knew he was not calling her for any good reasons.

"What the hell are you doing?" Jasmine paused in her steps as some papers were thrown at her.

She heard a gasp following the accusation and she did not even react and merely snatched up the papers.

It was some notifications about some unpaid tax, similar to what Rachel had told her.

"Is this what you have been doing in the company?

Spending the company's fund on yourself?

I told you to lead the company to greatness not to ruins" His loud voice continued to boom through the house.

Jasmine's eyes noticed the smile Samantha tried to hide as her father yelled at her.

She knew Samantha definitely had a hand in this.

"Is this why you asked your son to come back?

You want to get rid of me for him?" Jasmine asked suddenly, her questions directed at Samantha.

Her father went quiet in confusion and glanced at Samantha for confirmation.

Samantha shifted on the seat nervously before answering.

"Don't be ridiculous, I had to beg him to return for your sake.

You will be getting married soon and your father is too old to be in the company.

That is why having a male child is important, it doesn't matter how much achievement you acquire you would still have to submit to your husband" Samantha continued in an affectionate voice.

Jasmine scoffed at her words and turned a pair of blazing eyes at her father.

"I did not mismanage the company's fund, I'm sure this is a mistake and I will rectify it soon.

Also, you should call your son back, he has no right to be there" Jasmine spat and left angrily.

"Can you hear that?

She does not regard me as her mother despite all that I have done to raise her well" Samantha cried to Sir Whyte after Jasmine had left.

While silently cursing Jasmine.

Since she got married to Sir Whyte, she had thread carefully and planned thoroughly to make sure her son would inherit the company. But Jasmine was about to ruin all her years of work.

She will never allow it!.

"Don't pay attention to her, just continue to make plans for the wedding. Her time at the company is over" He reassures her and fails to see the smile of satisfaction on her face.

Jasmine got to the company and sat in her office while staring at the email.

Her hangover was making it hard for her to work properly.

"When did we make the last payment?" She asked Rachel as she turned her full attention to her.

"The finance team would have all the details," she replied nervously.

"Get me the head of the team" Jasmine ordered.

The head of the team got to her office as fast as he could.

He was a middle aged man, hardworking and always had Jasmine's approval in whatever he did because he knew how fickle her temper was.

"What did you find?" Bane asked one of his men.

A cloud of smoke around his face as he puffs slowly on his cigarette.

He looks uninterested and relaxed but the fire burning his eyes says otherwise.

"Another wedding date has been picked and he went to her place last night" The man replied and Bane's eyes hardened.

Cussing under his breath, his men moved back as they noticed the change on his face.

They could not understand what he was thinking, their organization has always been working on the other side of law and that has always prevented them from living a normal life but their boss's interest in Jasmine has been a puzzle to them.

"I guess I would have to pay him a visit" he replied with a chuckle.

His brows dipped as he ran a hand through his long hair.

Jasmine had pledged allegiance to him years ago and he could not watch her get away with someone else while he was waiting for her to return to him.

Jordan watched with little interest as Bane paced his office, his long coat moving sideways and giving him a view of the gun in the holster on his waist.

His eyes brows drew together and smirked.

"I don't suppose you came here to parade my office?

What the hell do you want?" Jordan asked and opened a drawer beside him to bring out his gun.

He did not bother to hide it and merely placed it on his desk.

The silent threat did not go unnoticed by Bane but he merely chuckled.

"Do you even know how to use that?" He asked suddenly, his question directed to the gun on the desk.

"Should we test that out?" He asked and their eyes collided.

Bane's jaw flexed as he fought to keep his anger within limit.

"You don't listen do you?"

"I don't think you do either" Jordan returned and the tension in the room thickened.

"Stay away from her, this is my last warning" Bane said with finality and left.

The smirk on Jordan's face disappeared after he left, he is trying to figure out the relationship between the two of them.

He is interested in Jasmine and he intends to find out the relationship between her and the person that has been strongly against the two of them.

His interest in Jasmine has increased after last night.

A quick knock sounded on the door before it busted open.

Austin entered panting.

His eyes were as large as saucers as he approached Jordan.

"She is here"

He said breathlessly.

"Who?"

Jordan asked with a frown until the door opened almost immediately.
