Ousted

Austin did not have enough time to tell Jordan who the person was before Jasmine entered without ceremony.

She simply ignored the strange look they turned towards her and she sat down quietly.

Her expression was composed but a storm was brewing beneath the calm surface of her hazel orbs.

Austin quietly excused himself from the room thickening with tension.

"I don't think our relationship has gotten to the stage where you can come in here whenever you want" Jordan said teasingly.

He could tell she was in a bad mood and he was making an attempt to lighten the tension surrounding her although he confuses himself for attempting to do so.

"You said you have a way to stop this marriage.

Tell me" Jasmine ignored his words and said the reason why she was there, almost coldly.

Jordan frowned, she was still on this. But he is gradually thinking marrying her might not be that bad.

"Is that how much you despise me?"

"I don't have time, I need to know now!"

Jasmine's voice hardened and Jordan's face hardened.

"I'm going to marry you, I changed my mind" he replied and returned his gaze to his laptop.

Jasmine approached him, venom in her eyes.

"Just two nights ago, you were not interested in marrying me" Jasmine reminded him, her anger spiking to a great level.

Jordan smiled slowly and his gaze dropped to where her dress opened at the top as she leaned over in front of his desk.

"Something changed my mind" he replied, his smile widening.

Jasmine's eyes followed his gaze and she immediately stood up.

"Bane is going to kill you before that happens" she threatened.

Jordan's smile disappears, he is still trying to figure out the relationship between them and how to get rid of the gangster.

"That is if I did not kill him first" Jordan spat.

"Can you even do that?

You are a perfect son from a perfect family.

You will be miserable with me".

Jasmine said with a sad chuckle.

"That is left for me to decide, I don't think you have time to argue with me.

You are about to get chased out of your company".

Jasmine's composure falters at that.

She really has a bigger problem.

"Fuck you!" She cursed him before turning around.

"I'm still waiting on that" Jordan threw after her.

Jasmine decided to return to the company to solve the problem there.

Rachel's call came in while she was still on the highway.

"What is it?" Jasmine asked as the call connected through.

"A meeting is going on now and I noticed you're not there, hence I thought to call you"

"A meeting?, where?

Who called for the meeting?"

Jasmine asked, her grip on the steering tightened.

When did all these start?

"It's Mr Varon"

Rachel replied in a small voice.

"Brandon?!"

"Yes ma'am" Rachel replied.

Jasmine dropped the call and sped all the way to the company.

Just like Rachel said, a meeting was going on.

Only she or father has the power to call for such a meeting except it's between employees but now she was getting sidelined.

"What the hell are you doing?" Jasmine cornered Brandon as soon as the rest of the board members spilled out of the room leaving just the two of them.

Some of them bowed politely to her and some merely ignored her.

"Good morning sis" Brandon said with a smile before bowing to her.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Jasmine asked again, her brows raising while she folded her arms.

"Doing?

I don't understand sis" Brandon said with a chuckle.

"Don't play dumb with me!

What are you doing calling for a meeting behind my back?" Jasmine asked again.

Her eyes turned cold.

"Oh, you mean the meeting?

Father has passed all authorities to me and I'm just trying to fix the problems you left.

It's irresponsible to bring personal relationships into business and I'm working towards paying the tax the company owes" Brandon listed while putting a hand in his pocket.

Jasmine turned around and left the meeting room, there is no need to keep arguing with him.

Her problem was not with him.

She was about to open the door to her office when Brandon's voice stopped her.

"That is no longer yours, your things have been moved to the archive this morning. You can find them there" And with that he walked past her and walked into the office.

Rachel stood a few distance away with her head suspended in fear.

She had tried to stop them but she could not.

He had merely threatened to fire her and she had moved to the side to let them empty the office.

Jasmine bit down hard on her lower lips.

There was no need to keep waiting around.

Turning around she left the company and drove to a bar far from the company.

She needed to think properly about what to do but for now she just wants to numb the anger or she might do what she would regret.

The bartender at the bar frowned at her arrival.

"It's weird to see you in the morning, Miss Varon".

"Just give me some alcohol, don't talk to me," Jasmine said, settling down on a seat.

"It's not good to come here in the morning, what if you are sighted.

You know you rich people like acting virtuously.

By the way, since your wedding got canceled, should I get you someone to serve you tonight" the bartender asked as he gave her a glass of some liquor.

"I don't need anyone," Jasmine said before taking a sip of the drink.

Jasmine drank glass after glass of alcohol and by the time the sky darkened she was completely wasted.

The bartender, also an old friend, looked down at her pitifully and shook his head.

"Jasmine it's getting late, should I call a driver to take you home?" He yelled into her ears to cut above the loud music.

"No" Jasmine slurred and brought out her phone.

"I will call for a driver myself".

She said dismissing his help.

After a minute of peering closely at the phone she managed to call a number.

"I sent my address to you now, come pick me up" she said to the person and ended the call.

"What?" Jordan asked in confusion.

He was working overtime when he received the call and was surprised to see it was a call from Jasmine.

Her words had even shocked him more.
