Chapter 299: Execute the State Advisor

As Mu Chen exited the cave, he was greeted by a massive army. At the forefront stood a line of white paper figures with eerie red eyes, numbering nearly ten thousand. Behind them, a sea of armored soldiers awaited orders. In the midst of the formation floated a carriage pulled by paper figures, carrying the Nation's Advisor. His aura emanated immense power.

"A human?"

The sight of Mu Chen emerging from the snake den stunned everyone. A human stepping out of the lair of snake demons was unheard of.

"Human, stand aside," a raspy voice commanded as a man in a Daoist robe emerged from the carriage. His grotesque features and menacing presence left no doubt about his strength.

"Step aside? Not a chance. If you leave now, I'll let this go for the sake of humanity. Persist, and I will enact divine judgment," Mu Chen declared, hovering in mid-air and staring down at the advisor.

"Judgment? From someone merely at the Late Nascent Soul stage?" The advisor sneered, summoning three paper figures to hover alongside him.

"Make your choice," Mu Chen replied calmly, his aura unwavering. His soul rings ignited, ten radiant golden halos glowing brilliantly behind him. A black sword materialized in his hand, its energy humming with destructive potential.

"Is he… a god?"

The soldiers murmured in awe. The glowing halos, a symbol of divine power, sent shockwaves through their ranks. Even the Nation's Advisor and the snake mother watching from the cave entrance were taken aback.

"No, he's not a god," the advisor growled. "His cultivation level is inferior to mine. This is nothing but a trick."

Mu Chen turned his gaze toward the soldiers. "You have ten breaths to leave. Those who remain will face my wrath."

One soldier hesitated, then dropped his weapon to surrender.

"Traitor!" the advisor roared, commanding a paper figure to decapitate the soldier on the spot. His ruthless act silenced the rest.

"You've chosen death," Mu Chen stated coldly.

His third soul ring flared, summoning a chilling aura that froze the battlefield.

*Third Spirit Ability: Snow Goddess's Sigh.*

Mu Chen swung his massive Chaos Sword, sending an icy torrent that froze and shattered nearly a thousand soldiers and paper figures in an instant.

The advisor's face twisted in frustration. His paper figures were invaluable, and losing them was a significant blow.

"Combine!" he commanded, channeling his energy. The remaining paper figures merged into a towering black paper crane with razor-sharp talons and a menacing beak.

"Child's play," Mu Chen scoffed, activating his Rinnegan. His aura exploded outward, manifesting into the colossal form of Susano'o.

"Impossible… What kind of power is this?" the advisor stammered.

Mu Chen's Susano'o brandished the Chaos Sword, cleaving through the crane's leg. Although the crane quickly regenerated, Mu Chen's repeated strikes began to whittle it down.

"Is that all you've got?" Mu Chen taunted, smirking.

The advisor sneered, raising a dark soul flag adorned with skulls. "You've fallen into my trap," he declared as a massive black dome descended, ensnaring Mu Chen within a web of spectral talons.

"Now, face oblivion!" the advisor cackled, convinced of his impending victory.
