Mu Chen found himself trapped in the "Demon Binding Array" without realizing it. While battling the giant paper crane, he had unknowingly stepped into the array meticulously prepared by the Nation's Advisor. Seven massive black crane claws immobilized him, preventing any movement.
"Mu Chen!"
"Mu Chen!"
Xiao Bai and Xiao Qing cried out in panic as the Demon Binding Array began to change. The black claws turned icy, exuding an unprecedented chill that seeped into Mu Chen.
The Advisor's Yin-Yang Banner spun rapidly, extracting a humanoid shadow from Mu Chen's body—his primordial spirit. The array's energy was steadily refining Mu Chen's essence.
"Mu Chen!" Xiao Bai pleaded with her master, the Snake Mother. "Master, please save him!"
The Snake Mother's eyes flickered with cunning. She assessed the situation carefully. While Mu Chen was unexpectedly powerful, she saw no benefit in acting prematurely.
"Xiao Bai, he entered this fight willingly. As your master, I must prioritize our people. Now is not the time to act," she said firmly.
"Master!" Xiao Bai protested, desperation evident in her voice.
"Enough! I am your master. My decision is final," the Snake Mother snapped, silencing further pleas.
Frustrated and heartbroken, Xiao Bai resolved to take action on her own. Memories of her time with Mu Chen flashed before her eyes, solidifying her determination.
With a resolute step, she leapt forward, charging into the enemy army.
"Xiao Bai!" Xiao Qing exclaimed, instinctively following her sister.
"Fools!" the Snake Mother muttered, though she secretly relished the idea of using Xiao Bai and Xiao Qing as pawns to weaken the Nation's Advisor.
Inside the array, Mu Chen's heart swelled with gratitude and warmth as he saw the sisters' sacrifice.
"Such loyalty..." he murmured, his resolve strengthening.
The Advisor smirked smugly. "What a pity you don't practice my Lunar Yin Sutra. If you did, I could absorb your energy. Now, I'll simply watch as you're refined into nothing."
"Refine me? Don't be so sure," Mu Chen retorted.
He dismissed his Susano'o, allowing his true form to slip free from the array's grasp.
A claw lunged at him again, but this time, Mu Chen activated Triple Origin Energy. A white energy shield enveloped him, nullifying the array's attacks. The black claw disintegrated upon contact.
"What kind of technique is this?" the Advisor stammered, fear creeping into his voice.
Mu Chen rose into the air, his presence imposing as the sky above darkened with thunderclouds. The atmosphere became suffocating, heralding an apocalyptic force.
"Celestial Thunder, heed my call. Divine Judgment!"
Raising his Chaos Sword, Mu Chen invoked the Divine Sword Lightning Control Art.
Thunder roared as a massive bolt of purple lightning struck the array's barrier, causing it to crack and buckle.
"This... this can't be! No mortal can command such power!" the Advisor shouted, his voice trembling.
Another bolt of lightning crashed down, shattering the array completely.
The backlash sent the Advisor reeling, blood spilling from his lips.
"Die!" Mu Chen roared, his Chaos Sword crackling with lightning. He swung the blade with immense force, sending a bolt of energy directly at the Advisor.
The Advisor was blasted hundreds of meters away, his body leaving a deep trench in the earth. When the dust settled, he lay at the far end, his charred, mummified figure barely recognizable.
Mu Chen turned his wrath on the remaining soldiers, his sword sweeping through their ranks. Hundreds perished in an instant, and those who survived were paralyzed with fear.
"Anyone who values their life, leave now!" Mu Chen bellowed, his voice reverberating like a god's decree.
Terrified, the soldiers scrambled to flee, abandoning their weapons an
d comrades in their desperate bid for survival.
