Chapter 9: A Step into New World

More than five months have passed since Isamu crossed into this world. He discovered, through his repeated uses of the Displacement Gate, a unique feature: since the gate is integrated with his soul, it has the ability to extract precise information about him and his condition, as if it knows him better than he knows himself.

He utilized this ability to create a personal data board, resembling the character panels in the games he knew from his previous life.

"Of course," Isamu thought as he reviewed the data, "this board is merely an organization of knowledge, and it doesn't have the ability to level me up like in the games. I have to achieve all progress through my personal effort."

As he reviewed his personal data, he noticed how much he had advanced. "This board is really useful. Even if it isn't like the cheat systems in novels that allow adding points, it still helps me see how much I've progressed in my training and abilities and monitor the direction of improvement. This is an excellent feature because it helps me avoid convoluted paths and training errors and focus on my strengths while avoiding weaknesses."

He sighed lightly and then added, "If I had such a board in my previous life, I wouldn't have spent my time on academic research and studying so seriously."

He paused for a moment and reflected: "I was this body at the age of five and a half when I crossed into this world, and it seems that after spending five months here, my sixth birthday passed without me realizing it."

He smiled wryly: "But that doesn't matter, as I'm not really a six-year-old child. As for my birthday, it doesn't seem like this culture has started to emerge yet in the village of Konoha."

Isamu turned his gaze to the chakra unit in the data. "I started refining chakra when I was four years old, and with my talent, I should have been around 50 or 55 units at most, not 70. This advanced level must be due to either my adult spirit or the awakening of the Sharingan, or perhaps both."

He smiled lightly and said to himself, "This is a good development. Based on my knowledge of the story and the knowledge my grandfather taught me before his death, as well as the clan ninjas, the average genin in this world should possess between 100 to 120 chakra units at a minimum. Of course, ninjas don't just need a large amount of chakra to be classified at the genin level or higher."

He added in his thoughts, "Ninjas are essentially a profession that requires combat effectiveness based on possessing skills and practical techniques, in addition to experience or passing an assessment of their abilities to be classified at the appropriate level. This is clearly seen in how ninjas are promoted as they go through the academy, where they only graduate when their techniques and skills reach the required level."

"Of course, ninjas who possess larger amounts of chakra compared to their peers are considered talents and geniuses. With this rule, they can reach higher levels with less effort, except for cases like Naruto in the beginning."

He then said calmly, "As for activating the Sharingan, I still lack sufficient chakra volume and control, and so far, the progress is limited to awakening it for a few seconds. As for the jutsu and skills on the data board, they are the basic skills that ninjas learn. The original owner began learning them before his grandfather's death, and I have also practiced them recently, even if it was limited to theory and some attempts, but it lays the foundation for the future."

As his gaze dropped, he noticed something changing that he hadn't expected in the Displacement Gate column: "Unknown World: 1."

"This... does it mean that the gate has acquired the coordinates of a new world?" Months had passed since he acquired the Displacement Gate, and he was curious about the ability to travel between worlds, even if it was dangerous.

He often used the projection feature to enter the Void Platform, trying to see any changes that had occurred. However, he discovered through the Displacement Gate that the platform hadn't captured any new coordinates for other worlds.

The reason is simple: the Void Sea is limitless, and the concept of distance in it is almost indescribable, as distances between worlds vary randomly.

This means that capturing the coordinates of worlds depends on luck, as one can capture the coordinates of several worlds in a short time, or may not capture any coordinates at all in their lifetime.

"I need to check this... activate the Void Platform." As soon as his words finished, Isamu lost consciousness and his body fell onto his bed.

......

He felt that his surroundings had completely changed. His room was no longer there; instead, he found himself in the endless platform space. The ground beneath his feet was solid and shiny, as if made from black material that faintly reflected light from fine cracks. The air was still, saturated with a strange calm and heavy tension. However, Isamu didn't feel anything unfamiliar; he had grown accustomed to this place after visiting it several times previously through projection. Therefore, he decided to focus his attention on something else.

Before him were massive gates scattered around him irregularly, all completely closed. But unlike what he had seen before, not all of them were covered with a thick layer of darkness. There was a noticeable change: one of them was glowing with a bronze light on its surface, standing out among the other gates still covered by a thick layer of fog.

"This must be the gate that holds the new coordinates," Isamu thought for a moment, staring at the shimmering gate before him.

He stepped toward it slowly, his heart pounding with tension and anticipation. With his right hand, he cautiously extended his fingers toward the glowing surface, trying to touch the illuminated door.

As soon as his fingertips brushed the door, mysterious words illuminated before him: "World Gate can be activated."

[Do you want to use projection to cross?]

Isamu was surprised; he didn't think that with just one touch, he could activate a gate to cross into another world.

The bigger surprise was that he was being asked if he wanted to cross through consciousness projection.

This was definitely different from what he expected, so he quickly tried to understand by asking, "Displacement Gate, what does it mean to cross via projection?"

[This dimensional travel relies on consciousness projection, and the user's consciousness will be manifested by consuming stored energy. The death of the conscious body after manifestation will not affect the user, but this dimensional travel will also officially end upon death.]

"So, this means I don't have to worry about the danger of death." Isamu felt joy, prompting him to immediately activate the gate.

[Accept the instructions and begin activating the Void Platform.]

He heard a calm internal voice continue with the instructions:

[There is enough energy, and the passage channel has begun to be constructed.]

The passage channel was completed, and intelligence gathering was in progress.

[We searched the user's memory for information that closely aligns with the world on the other side of the tunnel, and we are sorting it now.]

[Information sorted successfully.]

The surface of the door lit up with unexpected words: [The Strongest Disciple in History, Kenichi.]

Isamu wondered quietly, "Isn't this...?" His memory began to bring back old and mysterious images, as if these phrases were familiar to him from his previous life.

Then the door opened with a faint sound, and the light emanating from behind it brightened. Behind it was a strange and enchanting scene: transparent ripples resembling the surface of a water pool, pulsating with strands of light that extended to wrap around his body and slowly pulled him inside.

Isamu was momentarily surprised, but there was no feeling of danger. On the contrary, he felt a kind of mysterious peace. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart, then exhaled long to regain his internal balance.

At that moment, the dark door completely engulfed his body, followed by the sound of another "ring" as the door closed behind him, as if Isamu had merged into another world, leaving everything that was behind him.

When Isamu entered through the gate, everything around him was completely silent, except for a faint buzzing that could hardly be heard, emanating from the closed gates surrounding him.
