While Kaminari and the others were catching up with their friends backstage, the event outside had officially begun. As previously mentioned, the main goal of this event was to promote Seifu Elementary School's anime-themed education model.
So, before the entertainment segment could start, Kaminari's father and the school principal had to give speeches on the Pokémon Contest-styled stage. They addressed nearly a thousand attendees in person, along with hundreds of thousands watching the live stream online.
During this time, several cameramen roamed the school grounds, capturing detailed shots of the unique aspects of the campus for the online audience. Their goal was to showcase what made this school different from an ordinary one.
While this segment might have felt dull to student fans and casual online viewers, it was the most crucial part of the event. At its core, this was a commercial endeavor, not a concert purely for fan appreciation.
Fortunately, both speakers kept their speeches concise. Each lasted about thirty minutes, after which they shook hands for the cameras and cleared the stage for the Pikachu Band.

Inside the Facebook Live Chat:
"Finally! They're done! That was way too long!"
"The principal really went through the entire history of the school. I respect the dedication, but wow."
"I actually thought it was pretty cool. It wasn't just talk, they showed a lot of the school environment. I liked that."
"This kind of school model is great for elementary kids and kindergartens, but I don't think it would work for middle schools or colleges. Too many distractions from actual studying."
"Man, if only I could've gone to a school like this back then!"
Just as the online audience was discussing Seifu Elementary School's unique setup, Kaminari, Kyoka, Kazama, and Momo stepped onto the stage.
Since the stage was only a temporary setup, they didn't have the luxury of a dramatic lift entrance.
Momo, despite being the band's manager, joined them on stage. Kaminari had suggested that since this was their first public performance, it would be better if all members participated. Plus, since Momo played a key role in Pokémon as one of the trio alongside Kaminari and Kyoka, the children were bound to love seeing her there.
For this performance, Kaminari would focus solely on singing while the others played. But they weren't alone, they also brought Pikachu and Vulpix onto the stage.
"Whoa!!!"
As soon as the hundreds of children saw the two adorable creatures, they erupted into screams of excitement. Some even covered their mouths in disbelief.
"It's real! It's really Denki and Pikachu!!"
"Look, Momo has a Vulpix too!"
"That's Kyoka! She looks amazing! Where's her Sonic Bat?"
It wasn't just the children, many parents and fans in the audience were just as surprised. The longtime fans, however, were less shocked since they had followed Kaminari's news for a while and knew about his Pikachu-like intelligent robot.
On stage, Momo and Kazama were visibly nervous—very nervous. After all, it was their first time performing in front of such a massive crowd. Kaminari and Kyoka, on the other hand, had already experienced this pressure during the Sports Festival, so they remained composed.
Sensing that the performance was about to begin, the children quieted down. Wide-eyed, they fixed their gazes on the stage, ears perked, little fists clenched in anticipation.
Then, the sound of an electric guitar, bass, electronic keyboard, and drums blended together, forming a melody that was instantly familiar to everyone present. It echoed through the entire school.
The moment Kaminari Denki's voice came through the mic with the first lyrics—"I got a Pokémon!"—the children lost their minds.
The atmosphere exploded with excitement!
That voice was too familiar—so, so familiar! It was Denki's voice!
"This is the theme song of Pokémon! I know this one!"
"Yeah! We all do! The music teacher even taught it to us! The target is Pokémon Master!!"
Among the fans in the audience, many young men and women exchanged knowing looks.
"Even though Kaminari's first hit was Only My Railgun, his most famous and influential song is still this one."
"That's true, but Brave Heart, which he sang at the Sports Festival, was amazing too. That was broadcast worldwide."
Back on stage, Kaminari held the microphone with a confident smile as he continued to sing. Meanwhile, Pikachu and Vulpix at his feet wiggled adorably, adding to the cuteness overload.
"Whether it's in fire, water, grass, or forest…
Whether it's in the soil, or in that girl's skirt—"
"Kyaaa~" (Pikachu squealed shyly.)
"Even though it's quite, quite, quite tough, I have to catch them all!"
"Get the Pokémon!!"
Kaminari's passionate singing resonated deeply with everyone present both in person and online. The lyrics and melody sparked vivid memories of Pokémon episodes, stirring nostalgia in the fans and pure excitement in the children.
More than 400 students began singing along, completely immersed in the moment.
"Goodbye, Pallet Town, see you later!"
"I travel with my Pokémon!"
"Pikachu!" (Pikachu harmonized perfectly.)
"With the skills I've trained, I'll keep winning!"
"Make friends and move on to the next town!"
Thanks to Kaminari's father's efforts, Pokémon had become a massive hit, airing across Southeast Asia and even other regions. Its influence was undeniable.
As The Target is Pokémon Master reached its final chorus, the energy in the crowd was electrifying. The children chanted Kaminari and Pikachu's names, making it feel more like a concert than a school event.
In the front row, some of the more enthusiastic kids even tried to rush forward, but the teachers acting as security quickly stopped them.
Taking a deep breath, Kaminari smiled and spoke into the mic, "Hello, everyone! I'm Denki!!"
Then, he gestured toward the Pikachu beside him. "And this is—?"
"Pikachu!!!"
The children shouted in unison at the top of their lungs.
After that, Kaminari introduced Kyoka, Momo, Kazama, and Vulpix to the audience.
The response was overwhelming. The children clapped enthusiastically after each introduction, showing their love and support. Even when Kazama was introduced, despite being new to the group, he received warm applause.
Kazama, seated at his keyboard, couldn't help but smile. Seeing the bright-eyed, excited children in the crowd, he felt a tremor of emotion in his heart. At that moment, he became even more determined to officially join the Pikachu Band.
Soon, the second song began playing.
"This is Brave Heart!!"
