Chapter 253: Pikachu’s Song!

With the upbeat and energetic rhythms of Braveheart, Only My Railgun, Hero, and Blue Bird, the joy on everyone's faces in the audience grew more and more intense. Even those watching the live broadcast online expressed how much they were enjoying the performance.

Among them, Bakugo, sitting in the Class 1-A section, watched as Kaminari and his band shone brilliantly on stage. A strange feeling welled up inside him. He curled his lips and muttered under his breath, "The drum beats are pre-recorded? That's just pathetic!"

"What did you say?!"

Kirishima sitting next to Bakugo, noticed him grumbling to himself and immediately leaned in with excitement, asking loudly.

"I didn't say anything! Just watch the damn show!" Bakugo snapped, shoving Kirishima away in irritation before turning his attention back to the stage.

The truth was, he admired it—but he'd never admit that. Absolutely not.

"You say if you could fly, you would never come back down!"

"You search for those white, white clouds!"

If you break through, you'll know you'll find it!"

"So try untill you break free to that blue, blue sky"

"Blue, blue, the endless sky!"

"Blue, blue, sky!!"

As the final note of the song faded, the entire audience erupted into cheers. Since most of the people present were either Kaminari fans or Pokémon fans, the atmosphere felt incredibly connected, exactly the kind of bond Kaminari wanted to create.

Standing at the center of the beautifully decorated Pokémon Contest stage, Kaminari waved to the teachers, students, parents, and fans below, flashing a bright smile.

"Everyone, did you enjoy these songs?"

"Yes!!"

The deafening response from the crowd made Kaminari chuckle. He then continued, "I've got two more amazing songs for you all, both brand-new!"

"Wow!!!"

"Is Kaminari debuting a new song here?!"

"This is awesome! He hasn't released a new song in a while, and now we're getting two?!"

The excitement wasn't limited to those in the venue—viewers online were buzzing with anticipation.

Kaminari then added with a grin, "And not only will I be singing one of these new songs… the other will be performed entirely by 'Pikachu!'"

"This is a true 'Pikachu Song'—just wait and see!"

The children in the audience, who had already rehearsed countless times for this moment, suddenly burst into excited chatter. Everyone was curious, how was Pikachu going to sing?

"Maybe it'll have a human-like voice? It can't just be 'Pika Pika' the whole time, right?" a parent mused with a smile.

"Well then, please enjoy the first new song, 'In Your Heart LALALA'!"

As Kaminari spoke, he raised his right hand slightly—then snapped his fingers.

From behind him, Kyoka, Momo, Kazama, and the others immediately began playing their instruments in sync, filling the air with a soothing yet enchanting melody.

"In your heart, LALALA, painting dreams, LALALA!"

"If you believe with all your heart, your dreams will come true!"

"LALALA, under the same sky, you can hear it faintly, LALALA!"

"The intertwined melody will ring the bell of courage!"

"You overflow in my heart, as the wind blows through the green paths!"

As Kaminari sang, the once-lively audience quieted down, slowly becoming captivated by the song's gentle melody. Soon, even the children began nodding their heads to the rhythm, softly singing along to the LALALA.

This song, tender and heartwarming, was perfect for young children. The parents in the audience also seemed pleased.

Compared to the intensity of Hero, Blue Bird had been a nice balance, but In Your Heart LALALA was soothing in a way that resonated deeply with both children and adults alike.

This song had been the ending theme for episodes 183 to 191 of Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl in Kaminari's past life. Since the event was centered around Pokémon, he figured it was the perfect opportunity to introduce it to this world.

To the rest of the audience, however, this was yet another testament to Kaminari Denki's incredible musical talent.

At three minutes and forty seconds, the song wasn't too long or too short, just enough to leave a lasting impression. As the final note faded, Kaminari took a breath and smiled.

"Kids, did you like this song?"

"Yes!! We love it!!"

"Haha, I'm glad! And I have some good news for you all, the principal has agreed to include this song in your music class curriculum!"

Kaminari, brimming with enthusiasm, announced loudly, "That means you're all going to learn this song together!"

The moment he said that, the children erupted into cheers once again. For many of them, today had already become one of the most exciting days of their lives.

Meanwhile, over on Facebook Live, the comment section was flooded with a different kind of discussion.

"Where is this school? My kid is about to start elementary school, I wish he could go here! He'd be so happy!"

"Ugh, my daughter is begging me to transfer her now, but she's already in fifth grade! She'd only get to enjoy it for a year!"

"One year? If I had this kind of opportunity as a kid, even half a year would've been worth it! Just imagine getting to shoot a basketball into a Charizard-held hoop!"

"I really want to kick a soccer ball into Muk's giant mouth!"

Back on stage, Kaminari stepped aside, making way for Pikachu.

He carefully adjusted the microphone to minimize interference and then signaled to the staff below to hand him his electric guitar.

With that, the stage was set, two guitarists, a bassist, and a keyboardist providing the instrumental backing… and Pikachu as the star of the show.

"No way… Pikachu's actually going to sing?"

"It's probably just a cute, childlike voice, right? After all, it's not a real Pikachu, it's a robot. It wouldn't be hard to modify its voice."

"Yeah, but hearing an actual talking Pikachu sounds fun. I wonder if it'll have a boyish voice or a more cutesy, high-pitched one?"

"I'm betting on a shota voice! Pikachu in the anime is obviously a boy, right?"

"No way, a loli voice would be so much cuter! Loli Pikachu for the win!!"

Finally, the last song of the performance began.

But the moment Pikachu opened its mouth, everyone was stunned.

"Pika Pikachu—"

"Pika Pika Pikachu… back~"

"Pika Pika Pikachu…"

"Pikachu Pikachu!"

In the audience, the parent who had confidently predicted an anthropomorphic voice was now frozen in shock.

"Wait… this is… this is really just Pikachu?! No modifications?!"
