Chapter 254: Fighting?

The Event, which the Kaminari family had spent days preparing for, had finally come to an end. However, the ripple effects of the event were only just beginning.

Not that Kaminari needed to worry about any of that, he only cared that his company was thriving.

To be honest, watching his business flourish under his own guidance while still enjoying the perks of being a carefree rich kid felt pretty great. If you don't believe it, try it for yourself!

Now that all the event-related work was settled, Kaminari turned his attention toward the upcoming final exams.

Before long, July 1st arrived, marking the beginning of the first phase: the written exam.

Inside Class 1-A's classroom, everyone sat silently at their desks, waiting for Aizawa to arrive with the test papers. The tension in the air was palpable—except for a few students: Momo, Todoroki, Midoriya, Kaminari himself, and a handful of others remained calm.

A few moments later, the door creaked open, and in walked Aizawa, wearing his usual tired expression, a thick stack of test papers tucked under his arm.

He handed out the exams in silence. No speeches about not cheating, no invigilators, not even security cameras in the room.

Yet, despite the lack of supervision, not a single student attempted to cheat—not even Mineta, Kirishima, or Ashido, who were visibly sweating.

After all, they were aspiring Pro Heroes.

The written exams lasted three grueling days, during which everyone was under immense pressure. After all, this was their first set of finals.

"Alright, pencils down!"

Aizawa strode back into the classroom on the last day and raised a hand to signal the end of the exam.

"The last person in each row, collect the answer sheets."

At his instruction, Todoroki, Momo, Class Rep Iida, and Tetsutetsu from Class 1-B stood up to gather the papers.

Meanwhile, Ashido, Kirishima, Ojiro, Kyoka, and Sero—who had all been tutored by Momo—breathed a collective sigh of relief. Then, they excitedly turned to thank her, realizing that thanks to her help, they had actually managed to answer questions they would have otherwise left blank.

"That went better than I expected…"

Momo smiled warmly. Seeing her classmates succeed because of her guidance made her genuinely happy.

"Now all that's left is the practical exam… and that's the real challenge," Kaminari mused, idly spinning his pen between his fingers.

"No need to stress," Uraraka reassured him with a grin. "We already found out what it'll be same as every year, a fight against those big entrance exam robots!"

Kaminari raised an eyebrow. "And how exactly did you find that out?"

"Oh, a senior from Class B told us during lunch," Midoriya explained. "Apparently, she got the info from an upperclassman."

"If that's true, Kaminari, you've got this in the bag!" Tetsutetsu said, envious. "Your Quirk is basically made to destroy those robots!"

"Yeah, Kaminari, you're totally set," Kyoka added with a smile.

"Maybe…" Kaminari replied nonchalantly. But deep down, he had a feeling things weren't going to be that simple.

This year had already been way more unpredictable than previous years, so it wouldn't be surprising if the school threw in some changes.

Still, seeing how excited Kirishima and the others were, Kaminari decided not to burst their bubble. He wasn't about to be that guy.

Instead, his gaze drifted toward Kyoka, who was chatting with Uraraka, Asui, and Ashido.

Lately, they had been spending more time together, mainly because she needed help adjusting to her new combat gear. Naturally, their relationship had grown closer as a result.

Of course, sparring meant accidental physical contact was inevitable—hands, shoulders… sometimes even lips.

That said, there was one thing Kaminari found himself thinking about more often than he probably should: Kyoka's figure or rather, her lack of one.

Unintentionally, he had even started looking up methods for… enhancement online.

Not that he had a thing for giant ones or anything, but… A-cup was just too small. At least B, right?

"She's only fifteen," Kaminari reassured himself. "There's still time. Late bloomers exist. She'll be fine… probably."

The next day marked the start of the final exam's highlight: the practical portion.

All of Class 1-A gathered in the central plaza, now wearing their hero costumes. Aizawa had informed them that this would be the testing ground for their exam.

But something was off.

Kaminari scanned the area, mentally counting. Wait… why are there so many teachers here?

"Alright, let's begin the practical exam," Aizawa announced, standing in the center of the group, hands stuffed in his pockets.

"There's no set passing score. But if you don't want to spend the night camping in the woods, don't do anything stupid."

Kyoka, standing between Momo and Kaminari, voiced the question on everyone's mind.

"Why are there so many teachers here?"

At her words, several of the teachers exchanged knowing smiles.

Aizawa glanced at the class. "I assume some of you did your research and think you know what's coming."

The students nodded.

"It's gonna be just like the entrance exam, right?" Mineta smirked confidently. "A robot-smashing contest?"

But before anyone could respond, something unexpected happened.

Aizawa's binding cloth suddenly twitched, then moved, as if something was inside.

A second later, a small figure popped out from the folds of his scarf.

"Unfortunately, due to certain circumstances, the exam format has changed!"

That familiar high-pitched voice—Principal Nezu.

With a dramatic flourish, the tiny principal made his grand entrance, perching atop Aizawa's shoulder.

"Principal?!" Ojiro exclaimed in surprise.

Kaminari, meanwhile, wasn't the least bit shocked. "Called it."

Something about this year just had to be different.

"As Pro Heroes, you will inevitably face combat situations and unpredictable missions in the future," Principal Nezu continued. "That's why, starting this year, we're placing a greater emphasis on real-world applications!"

Kaminari, however, was distracted by a different thought.

"Why does he always have to dramatically slide down Aizawa's scarf like that? It's cute, sure, but come on… have some dignity."

"So!" Nezu clapped his tiny paws together. "For this year's practical exam, students will be paired up and tasked with fighting a teacher in actual combat!"

The entire class froze.

"We… we have to fight the teachers?!"

Even the usually composed Todoroki, the ever-confident Bakugo, and Kaminari himself looked surprised.

Bakugo, however, quickly recovered, flashing a sharp, almost feral grin.

"Heh. Now that's more like it."
