Kaminari, who arrived just in time, didn't waste words with Bakugo. He knew the guy's personality well—fists worked better than lectures.
So the moment he appeared in the night sky, a long leg wrapped in golden flames and lightning struck Bakugo hard on the shoulder before he even finished speaking, knocking him down!
That's right, the words "Calm down, Bakugo!" were actually said after he had kicked him.
They say feet are faster than words.
Bang!
From below, Momo and the other three only saw a blinding flash of light appear in the smoke- and fire-filled night sky, followed by Bakugo crashing to the ground like a falling meteor.
"Bakugo!!"
Kirishima was the first to react, running over with a fire extinguisher in hand. He looked worriedly at his partner, who was now covered in crackling lightning. "Are you okay?!"
"I'm fine."
Bakugo stood up with a gloomy expression. Although his body ached a little from the impact, Kaminari's precise control of his electricity ensured there was no real injury.
Still, that kick had successfully calmed his mind, which had been overwhelmed with countless complex emotions.
"Give it to me."
Bakugo suddenly extended his hand, and Kirishima looked puzzled—then saw him snatch the fire extinguisher with an impatient look.
"Oh, oh, you wanted this? But... aren't you going to fight?" Kirishima asked, scratching his head as he watched Bakugo walk to the edge of the forest and start extinguishing the flames.
"Fight?"
Bakugo sprayed water onto a burning tree with a blank expression. Without turning around, he said, "That guy's appearance means the fight is over."
The unwillingness in his voice made his grip on the extinguisher tighten so much his knuckles turned white.
"Just wait. I won't give in that easily."
On the other side, as Bakugo's barrage came to an end, the sphere of overlapping blades quickly began to unravel.
"That was... dangerous..."
Moonfish, his mouth dripping with saliva, looked at the countless blast craters around him and the red-hot outer blades with fear.
Though the blades had protected him from the explosion itself, the hellish heat, thunderous blasts, and concussive force had tortured him the entire time.
But soon, a twisted joy spread across his face as he muttered, "That... that was... their trump card...?"
He looked toward the boys and girls working to put out the fire in the distance. The longer he watched, the more excited he became. In his mind, he could already see the beautiful image of blades slicing into human flesh.
"I must... I must... complete... my mission!!"
Several sharp blades extended from his mouth. They replaced his legs and supported his body, allowing him to once again stand upside down in mid-air.
Szzzzzzzzzzzz—
Just then, a dense, rapid electric hum echoed through the air, followed by a blinding golden flash that pierced Moonfish's vision.
"You're disgusting."
Before Moonfish could react, a voice filled with deep revulsion rang out, making the hair on his body stand on end.
He instinctively tried to use the mouth-blades to bounce away. In his current state, his eyes hadn't adjusted to the light yet.
He needed distance to recover from the golden glare.
But it was too late. Though his reflexes were fast and his blades agile, his opponent was far faster.
Crackling—
A white-soled, gold-patterned shoe, wreathed in golden lightning, slammed down on Moonfish's face.
Bang!!!
Zzzap—
High-voltage current surged through his body, paralyzing him instantly. The terrifying electric impact launched him like a ragdoll.
Trees along the way snapped at the roots, and his body finally rolled dozens of times before crashing to a stop in a crumpled heap.
"That's more like it. A full-powered kick shouldn't feel that weak," Kaminari said, slowly lowering his right leg in the night sky. He was satisfied with the power behind that strike.
He realized the habit of that "Kizaru Admiral" liking to kick people wasn't without reason. Kicking people at high speed was really satisfying.
"It hurts..."
Somewhere a hundred meters away, Moonfish spat out blood and struggled to rise. His black clothes had been shredded by the damage just now.
But worse than the clothing were his broken ribs and the numbing pain throughout his body.
"Who... can stop me..."
Even though he hadn't seen the attacker clearly, he understood how powerful they were. But his obsession with his "hobby" overrode reason, and he pushed it out of mind.
After all, he was the madman who dared to face off against the rampaging Black Shadow!
Just as Moonfish stood shakily and looked toward the firelit sky, he spotted a golden meteor flying toward him.
As it drew closer, his eyes widened in shock. "That... that's... a dragon?!"
Reflected in his pupils was a lifelike golden dragon. Every beard, every scale vividly detailed.
Roar!
Crackling—
"Ahhhhhhhhh!!!"
Under the moonlight, Kaminari ignored the explosive crackle of electricity and the fading screams in the air as he descended to the ground.
"Kaminari!"
"Kaminari!"
Momo, Kirishima, Tokoyami, and the others quickly ran over, while Bakugo continued spraying water on burning trees nearby with an annoyed expression.
"It's good you're all okay. Have you seen Tetsutetsu, Kyoka, or the others?" Kaminari didn't waste time and got straight to the point.
Kirishima thought for a moment and said, "Kyoka, Tetsutetsu, and the others were in Group Eight. They should be way behind us."
"So when everything happened, maybe they hadn't set out yet. Maybe they went back to the facility?" Momo suggested.
"I just came from the facility. I only saw Midoriya, Ojiro, Iida, Ashido, and Sero."
Kaminari's expression turned grim, and his mood soured even more. In his mind, all of this had stemmed from the intelligence he'd provided.
"Ashido went back too? That's strange. Logically, if Ashido and Group Nine returned, then Kyoka and the others should have too..." Momo looked toward the facility and murmured to herself.
"The most likely scenario is that they ran into a villain. Uraraka, Asui, and the others didn't return either," Tokoyami said in a deep voice.
Kaminari really missed Pikachu at that moment. If it were here, he could've tracked Kyoka's location via her battle suit.
Still, hearing that Tetsutetsu and Kyoka were together gave him a little comfort. He had faith in Tetsutetsu's strength.
But what he didn't know was that, at that very moment, Tetsutetsu was furiously beating the Blue Gun beneath him with a face full of rage. The opponent's condensed water streams were completely useless against his raging iron fists and steel legs.
"Talk!!!"
"Tell me! Where did you take Kyoka?!"
