"Help..." Hye turned the page of the book in front of him. "So that’s what you meant?"
"Yes!" Lior and Teodoro exclaimed. Their eyes shone with hope. "Can you do it?!"
"Yes, but what’s the point of translating these words? For the most part, they're the same as what I already said before—don't you remember?"
"A language that doesn't exist is a bit more complicated than that," said Lior with a sigh. "I was only able to write everything in this notebook because I constantly thought of all these things as mere figures while I wrote—not as words. I had to believe in that. If I had done otherwise, I believe that not even the notebook would exist, nor would my memories of it."
"A language that needs permission to be understood and used—that's what you said before, right?"
Lior nodded.
"But I don't remember anything like that happening... If it's that special, I don't think I would forget something like that."
