Chapter 11: My Story

EDETH POV

I turned my face from him, wanting him not to see my weakness as I cried silently.

“Eddie, c'mon” He turned my face towards his and I noticed his face wrinkled in worry.

“If you don't want to say it then nevermind, I won't ask you again but you have to stay here till you're ok”

“No, I will tell you”. I used my sleeves to wipe the fallen tears and gently pushed myself up. When I had properly positioned myself, I started my story.

“Well you know me as a black girl, that's what you all call me. But I don't see any trace of black on me, apart from the fact I am not as white as you guys, hmm it's kind of funny.

Anyways I'm a Nigerian and I hail from the Eastern region precisely Abia State. But I wasn't born there, I was born in a city called Lagos. I'm the only child of my parents after they had waited for 10 years.
