Chapter Thirty-One: Distinct Walls

Avery’s POV

“I need to go to the hospital… Will you stop me from doing that too?”

I'm dressed in a black baggy dress, with a red bag and a pair of shoes to match. My mood isn't as pretty as my appearance, if looks could kill, Thane would be six feet below.

“I'll have Rufus drive you.” He says, typing on his keys. “He'll be back shortly, sent him to get me breakfast, couldn't order online…”

“I don't care.” I stop him from ranting further.

He looks at me and returns to work. I'm not in the tiniest mood to entertain his nasty attitude, got a full human growing inside of me to worry about.

“I didn't throw away the food, Avery.”

He says softly, trying to buy his way into my heart.

I shrug, widening my eyes almost like the size of a watermelon. “Okay? What have I got to do with that?”/

“I just felt I should tell you…”

“Sir,” I interrupt him rudely. “I don't need it, are we good now?”

He exhales heavily and keeps his eyes on me for a while, before proceeding to speak.
