Doubling The Lead Just Before Half-Time

A German player charged towards David who held the ball. He knew he had to stop that attack that England wanted to launch.

They had learnt the hard way that the English counters were not to be trifled with. However, he had hurried a bit too much. David simply dragged the ball back a bit, delaying the pass and simply causing the opposition's leg to swipe the air.

As the German midfielder's outstretched leg swiped at air, the English central attacking midfielder, David, pounced on the ball. His eyes lit up with the promise of a counter-attack as he swiftly turned his body, using the momentum to propel himself forward. The stadium lights casted a golden glow on his sweat-drenched face as he burst into a sprint.
