As Jacob and Elara walked into their home, the tantalizing aroma of freshly cooked food welcomed them.

"I've made roasted venison with spiced root vegetables," Angela called out from the kitchen, her voice carrying over the sounds of sizzling and bubbling. Wiping her hands on the apron tied around her waist, she emerged from the kitchen, a warm smile lighting up her face. "Go on, both of you, freshen up while I set up the table."

Angela's eyes lingered on Jacob, her expression softening for just a moment before she turned her attention elsewhere. "Lily!" she called, raising her voice just enough to be heard over the crackling fire. "Come out of that room of yours! Jacob and Elara are back!"

With that, Angela returned to the kitchen. Elara chuckled, shaking her head as she made her way to her room to change. "I'll see you at the table," she called over her shoulder.
