Meng Qingshan's room was dimly lit, a single candle casting flickering shadows on the walls. He sat at a small desk, nervously awaiting the spy's arrival. He had volunteered to receive the spy's information only because the spy was located at the Wutai Sect. The tension in the room was palpable, every second stretching out as he waited for the truth to be revealed.

The door creaked open, and the spy entered, carrying a small, discreet device. Without a word, the spy set the device down on the desk and turned it on. Meng Qingshan watched with bated breath as the spy activated a recording.

The room filled with the voice of Liu, carrying with it an air of disdain. " Chen Ming? He's nothing more than a temporary pawn. We use him while he's useful, but once he's no longer needed, he's easily discarded."

Meng Qingshan's face went pale as he listened. The words seemed to echo around him, each syllable like a dagger to his heart. He clenched his fists, trying to suppress the rising panic.

The spy observed Meng Qingshan's reaction with a detached expression, then silently left the room. Meng Qingshan sat alone, the recording still playing, his breathing growing rapid and shallow. The betrayal felt like a crushing weight, making it hard for him to think clearly.

Meng Qingshan's hands trembled as he tried to process the betrayal. The words he had just heard were too much to bear. He sank down onto the floor, clutching his head in his hands, the weight of the revelation overwhelming him.

The room felt suffocating, and Meng Qingshan's breaths came in ragged gasps. He was alone, surrounded by shadows and the echoes of Liu's harsh words. His mind raced with thoughts of how to escape, how to leave this place and start anew, away from the betrayal and the pain.

He paced back and forth, his heart pounding as he tried to control his emotions. The idea of leaving the sect and starting over seemed more appealing than ever, but the fear of the unknown and the loss of his current life held him back.

Eventually, Meng Qingshan blacked out and lost consciousness.
