Chapter 1 Helping Mu Bai Deliver a Love Letter

Saint Sun Noble School

This is a well-known noble school in City C, divided into elementary and middle school sections.

As a noble school, the facilities are naturally impeccable, with a piano room, dance studio, etiquette room, swimming room... everything a child studying here could need, and all students are either rich or noble.

Lai Bao had just finished eating and patted his round belly, preparing to return to his dormitory for a sweet nap.

"Wen Laibao!"

A gentle voice called out to her from behind.

"Ye Yiqian, are you calling me?"

Lai Bao turned around and looked at the beautiful girl in front of her, who resembled a doll, and asked uncertainly, though they were in the same class, they had never spoken a word to each other.

The girl nodded and handed her a small box of cherries, kindly telling her, "Here, eat these."

"If there's anything you need, just say it. I'll help you."

Lai Bao knew Ye Yiqian must need her help with something, but as a little foodie, she couldn't resist the temptation of cherries.

Sure enough, the girl took out a beautiful pink envelope from behind her back, saying shyly, "Please help me deliver this letter to Mu Bai."

"Sure, no problem."

Lai Bao skillfully received the letter; this was the third time this week.

When boys gave her gifts, it definitely meant they liked her. When girls gave her gifts, it was surely to win Mu Bai's favor through her or to have her deliver letters for them; this was the conclusion Lai Bao had drawn over the past two or three years.

The girl anxiously instructed, "You must hand the letter to Mu Bai personally, okay?"

"Don't worry, I've got this."

Lai Bao patted her chest, her round pink cheeks making her particularly cute when smiling, her big eyes clearly defined.

The pink envelope, adorned with cute cartoon patterns, smelled fragrantly when placed near the nose.

Having accepted someone's request, it was time to run errands for them. Someone said he had gone towards the swimming room, so Lai Bao immediately headed there, and while the instructor uncle wasn't paying attention, she sneaked into the swimming room, but the vast swimming room was completely empty.

The echoing swimming room, with a few long pools and sunlight not fully reaching inside, appeared a bit cold.

"He's not here. Where on earth has Mu Xiaobai gone?"

Muttering to herself, Lai Bao was about to leave when she heard the sound of water. She turned around but saw nothing, puzzled, she ran towards the other end, yelling, "Mu Bai, Mu Bai, are you there?"

In the corner of the swimming pool, Lai Bao saw the struggling boy underwater, his leg seemed to be entangled by something, continuously dragging him down.

"Mu Bai, are you having a cramp?"

Lai Bao yelled worriedly from the side, knowing Mu Bai had the fastest swimming speed in the class.

After shouting, she hurriedly grabbed a lifebuoy, slipped it over her body, and jumped into the water. The water was not deep; she reached in and grabbed Mu Bai's struggling hand, pulled him up, and dragged him out.

Mu Bai coughed up water intensely, his face more delicate than a girl's, went pale and cyanotic, holding the lifebuoy tightly with one hand and grasping her arm tightly with the other.

Lai Bao felt a sting in her nose, hugged him, and, patting his back, whispered comfortingly, "It's okay now, don't be afraid, I'm here!"

"Let's get out of here, quickly."

Mu Bai regained his strength and immediately left the swimming room with Lai Bao, slipping out through the tall flowers behind them.

The midday sun was very strong, and after a long run, the two finally stopped under a Magnolia tree.

"Are you okay now?"

Wen Laibao was panting; being a little chubby, she was terribly exhausted from running.

Mu Bai shook his head, staring at her foolishly as if he hadn't yet recovered from the shock, but his handsome face regained some color, his slightly curled hair still dripping with water, looking like a melancholic little prince.
