Mu Bai's face looked terrible; he had obviously smashed the vase. Lai Bao didn't know what had happened, and wisely chose not to ask while he was angry. She silently set the breakfast on the table and cleaned up the broken pieces and water stains from the floor.
Ten minutes later, she cautiously asked, "I've bought breakfast, do you want to eat?"
Mu Bai lay on the bed without responding, and Lai Bao quietly started eating alone.
Mu Bai didn't speak all morning and only got up to have lunch with Lai Bao at noon. She ate only vegetables and had a small bowl of rice before she stopped.
"Why are you eating so little today?"
Mu Bai was surprised at her meager appetite; she usually ate two bowls of rice and a large bowl of soup.
Lai Bao didn't answer him and took out a bottle of weight loss pills, which instructed to take three at a time. She poured out five pills and swallowed them with water.
