First Friend
"That's right I'm an elf."
I save this man's life. I guess, he should be thinking of thanking me by kneeling in front of me. Saying "Thank you very much, I owe you my life".
Also, this man is from outside I can just order him to bring me to the outside world.
I thought we can be a good friend but…
The knight pointed his sword toward my head with his daunting eyes.
"Is this how people in this world show their gratitude?"
I asked.
"Sword skill… "
What is happening? This can't be right. Why his attacking me? What did I do to him?
"Stone edge."
A bump of rock appeared below Retto's feet causing him to lost his balance. His sword skill was canceled and immediately I made distance between the two of us.
"You're really rude aren't you!"
"Elves are disciples of darkness… I have to kill you…"
I see, This world saw elf as a demonic creature that needs to be exterminated.
That's the reason he attempted to attack me earlier with his sword.
This is a "do or die situation".
The knight was still struggling to stand up. The previous battle exhaust him a lot.
The knight charge forward and swing his sword going for my head.
"Let's not fight!" I shouted as I dodge.
"I'll kill you!"
Next time, I'm going to pick those I will save.
My turn.
"Wind slash!"
He swings his sword and uses the same magic.
"Wind slash!"
His wind slash is more powerful and breaks my wind slash easily.
"No way! No way! No way! I have to flee…"
I use my wind skill next directly to the ground creating a smokescreen made of dust.
After distracting him, I turned my back and run away with my stealth skill.
I don't want to die like this. Am I not going to die yet aren't I?
"You're never gonna escape."
Retto started to chase me.
That trash knight agility must be high and his spatial awareness might also be high. He easily detected me.
That leaves me with no choice.
I have to run toward the direction of my home base.
Near my home base, countless traps are set to secure my safety. I will use that to stop this trash knight's life and turn him to my experience points.
Running as fast as I can and making some obstacles with earth skill to slow the stupid knight.
"My home is near."
I said with a smiling face.
"Sword skill: Quick slice."
The knight cut the earth obstacles.
Without realizing it, the knight stepped to my trap and fell.
"What the?!"
The knight was soaked by different poison fluid I placed in the pit. Those poisons came from the different poison monsters I defeated. I extracted their fluid and use their poison to kill another prey.
"I can't move… My vision… I'm started to get dizzy."
Said Retto.
This fluid can paralyze, confused, and poison.
Retto's body has an open wound and poison fluid easily enters his body making the poison super effective to him right now.
At this rate, he will die.
This stupid man surely will die. But I'm not that heartless. I'm might be a monster in this world, but I live my life as a human before.
After seeing the knight fell unconsious, I saved him and treat his wounds.
[Do you want to learn healing magic? Yes or No]
I pressed yes.
[Skill points are deducted healing magic acquired.]
"Heal!"

Moments later.
"Urg... Where I am? Ouch, my back hurts."
That knight woke up and turn his glance around my base and finally, he reaches my presence and make a fixed stare at me.
"You! That elf! I have to kill you…"
Retto immediately tried to stand up but failed.
"That's useless, I tied your whole body with spider silk and wild vines while you're asleep. I already know that you might attack me when you wake up."
Retto closes his eyes and take a deep breath.
"Looks like I made a mistake. You save me two times already and I'm still labelling you as evil... I'm sorry miss Elf for attacking you earlier and thank you for saving me in my battle with the diamond dire wolf."
"I see… I see… You can say thank you… I thought your always cold and aloof kind of person. Well, good thing for you, I'm not some kind of evil elf like you expected. I accept your apology. But I have one thing to ask you?"
"I owe you my life I guess I have to answer. What is it?"
This is my chance to get out of this dungeon.
"Well, you see I'm lost inside this dungeon and I don't know how to come back outside. Can I ask you the way to the outside world?"
"Sorry, but even I don't know where is the entrance anymore... Me and my squad traverse deeper than we expected. "
Looks like this knight is also lost.
Things got complicated.
"I forgot my introduction, my name is Mayu, I'm a little elf. How about you?"
"I'm Retto knight of Grandellia. Nice to meet you."
"Let's be friends… I promise… I'm not a bad elf."
