Blue Coral Serpent

Saying "I will do my best in this battle is easy" But the reality sure bite you down when you are too confident.

"Hold… Hold on a minute!"

I shouted to the serpent I'm facing.

With high speed, the serpent swims toward my direction with raging red eyes.

"Stealth."

Stealth skills allow me to hide behind the giant rock. Successfully avoided the serpents dangerous tackle attack.

The tackle destroys one part of the land area.

If the land area in this lake all sink. My chance of defeating this monster will go down to zero.

The level gap is too high, can I really kill this monster?

I have to do something or else its game over.

The coral serpent started moving and look around searching for me.

The waves on the lake became more violent. Some portion of lands that I don't want to sink started to sink.

I have no choice but to dive down in deep lake water.

Diving down, I checked for an exit but found none. The only hole is where the water comes from.

According to my mapping skill, the hole is deep with no air for me. I'm an elf needing air to survive.

The serpent is confused, looking around for me.

It doesn't know where I am. Thanks to my stealth skill, I hide underwater.

I chanted Wind slash multiple times, inflicting damage upon the coral serpent's body.

Some scales crumble and float in the lake water. Seeing scales float makes it rage, eyes turn red.

The resounding echo of the coral serpent creates a subtle disturbance in the aquatic realm.

I run out of oxygen and quickly swim upward and catch some air to breathe.

I started to shake in fear but still held my sword.

The serpent swam fast and open its huge fang.

I avoided the attack by using wind magic onto my feet to accelerate my speed and make some stepping stone using my ice magic.

My damage is small but it's still working. All I need is to keep doing this.

"Wind slash!"

I use wind slash again toward its head.

I positioned a stepping stone encircling the serpent and commenced leaping from one stone to another while unleashing wind slashes in various directions.

Knowing that it's sustaining more damage, the serpent descends into the depths of the lake.

"What? It's going to hide?"

Below the ice where I stand, a colossal shadow looms ominously, signaling the imminent emergence of the serpent from the depths of the waters.

The magic started to form from its mouth.

It reminded me of the Salamander attack that wiped out Retto's squad. The serpent's mouth is too close and I can't move in the air. It's a point-blank shot that will kill me.

I then remember Retto's sword skill he teaches me earlier.

"Sword skill: Cut!"

Retto mentioned that "Sword skill: Cut" can almost cut anything. I don't know but I hope it works. I cut down the magic forming inside the mouth of the serpent.

Retto mentioned that the "Sword skill: Cut" possesses the capability to sever virtually anything. Although uncertain, I am hopeful for its efficacy. I successfully severed the magical power accumulated within the serpent's maw.

The moment I cut it, the magic form overflowed from its mouth, causing a magical explosion.

"I'm alive! I'm alive!"

I'm so happy that I'm able to survive that point-blank attack and fell to the lake water with a smile.

But the battle is not over yet.

I used ice magic to make a small portion of the ice stand 20 meters away from the Coral blue serpent, then cast the freeze skill. I freeze the serpent's body and some water, rendering it immobile.

The Serpent Attacked me and swallow my body.

"Gulp."

I opened my eyes and saw myself inside the serpent's body.

"How I'm still alive? I'm supposed to be eaten. Forget it, being alive is good. Good thing I'm swallowed in a whole and didn't lose any limbs."

A smart idea goes to my head.

I touch the flesh of the serpent in its stomach.

"It's soft."

I used my sword to stab it. My blade goes through without any fail.

"If I can't kill you from outside, then I will kill you from inside."

I cut the flesh inside the serpent multiple times damaging the serpent critically.

"Roaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar!"

The roar is different from earlier, this time it's roaring from pain.

The serpent goes into rampage, slamming its own body in the walls in the lake.

The serpent takes damage from my sword and its self-destructive behavior.
