Power Ranking System

Power Ranking System (Mask Bearers)

Mask Bearers are ranked based on their overall strength, which includes their combat skills, mastery over their powers, physical and mental resilience, and strategic prowess. The rankings are not solely dependent on the raw strength of their powers but rather on their effective use in battle, versatility, and ability to survive difficult conditions.

Rank Tiers (Mask Bearers):

SSS-Rank: Legendary, nearly unstoppable Mask Bearers. Only a handful of people in history have ever reached this level. Their control over their powers is absolute, and they can hold their own against the highest-ranked demons. Extremely rare and treated almost like gods in the society of Mask Bearers.

SS-Rank: Masters of their abilities, these Mask Bearers are considered top-tier and often lead large battalions or protect critical regions. They possess immense power and are highly revered.

S-Rank: Highly skilled individuals with near-total control over their abilities. They are formidable on the battlefield, capable of taking on lower-ranked demons single-handedly and working effectively in high-stakes missions.

A-Rank: Advanced Mask Bearers who have developed strong mastery over their powers. They are experienced in combat and able to handle most situations. These Bearers are usually found leading squads or acting as commanders in missions.

B-Rank: Competent and skilled fighters, with a good level of control over their abilities. They can handle most moderate threats and are considered reliable in battle.

C-Rank: Intermediate-level Mask Bearers who have begun to develop a decent understanding of their powers. They are useful in combat, but still have much to learn in terms of control and versatility.

D-Rank: Beginner-level Mask Bearers. While they have the potential to grow, they are still learning to harness their powers effectively and have little combat experience.

E-Rank: The lowest rank, reserved for new Mask Bearers who have just bonded with their masks. They have minimal understanding of their abilities and are often weak in both combat and power control. Most orphans start here before training begins.

Growth and Progression:

Training: Mask Bearers train at the government's academy in New Eldra, where their ranking is determined by combat tests, power proficiency, and overall contribution in missions.

Power Amplification: As Mask Bearers train and master their powers, they move up the ranks. This is a long-term process that involves understanding their powers, facing stronger demons, and surviving high-risk situations.

Special Conditions: Some Mask Bearers unlock new levels of their powers when faced with extreme conditions, which may propel them up the ranks if they survive.

Demons Defeated: A key metric in determining a Bearer's rank is the number of demons (especially higher-ranked ones) they've defeated.

Demon Ranking System

Demons are ranked by their threat level to humanity. The strength of a demon is determined by its destructive power, intelligence, and how difficult it is to kill. Higher-ranked demons often have complex abilities that make them extremely dangerous to Mask Bearers.

Demon Threat Levels:

Catastrophe Rank: The most dangerous demons, capable of wiping out entire cities or countries on their own. These demons are ancient, powerful, and extremely difficult to kill. It often requires a team of high-ranking SSS or SS Mask Bearers to take them down. The Catastrophe Demon from which Sunny's mask was forged is one such demon.

Calamity Rank: Extremely powerful demons capable of massive destruction. They can destroy large regions or take out entire armies if left unchecked. Only S-Rank and above Mask Bearers can stand a chance against them in direct combat.

Disaster Rank: Demons that can cause widespread destruction but are not quite on the level of Calamity or Catastrophe. These demons require multiple A-Rank Mask Bearers or a single S-Rank to defeat.

Menace Rank: Mid-tier demons that can devastate towns or cities but are manageable with a team of B or A-Rank Mask Bearers. These demons are more common in the wasteland and require careful handling.

Threat Rank: Low-tier demons that can cause localized chaos but are relatively easy to deal with for C or D-Rank Mask Bearers. They are still dangerous to civilians and lower-ranked Mask Bearers, but can be neutralized with the right strategy.

Fodder Rank: Weak demons that are often used for training purposes. They are more of a nuisance than a real threat, but they still pose a danger to untrained individuals or E-Rank Mask Bearers.

Demon Abilities:

Demons, like Mask Bearers, have unique abilities tied to their essence. Higher-ranked demons have more complex powers, while lower-ranked demons tend to have straightforward abilities such as brute strength or basic elemental control. Some demons possess powers similar to those found in the masks, like blood manipulation, phase shifting, or plant control.

Power Amplification and Fusion:

Absorption of Demons' Essence: When a Mask Bearer kills a demon, their essence can sometimes amplify the mask's power. Absorbing the essence of a high-ranked demon (Calamity or Catastrophe) might unlock new abilities within the mask or boost the wearer's overall strength. This is especially relevant for Sunny's Absorption ability.

Fusion of Powers: In some rare cases, Mask Bearers who absorb multiple types of demonic essence might combine their powers into new, hybrid abilities (e.g., combining fire manipulation and metal manipulation to forge molten weapons).
