CHAPTER 118

KIERAN

SIX MONTHS LATER

Six months.

One hundred and eighty three days.

Six months of waiting. Of praying. Of hoping.

Of restitching my heart back little by little, piece by piece, as I waited for Edwina to come back to me.

And then just like that, all of a sudden, without any warning, her eyes fluttered open.

I froze.

My heart stuttered in my chest. Literally stopped dead.

I had been sitting in this hospital room for so long, watching over her, taking care of her. I didn't move from her side except to go freshen up, and Archie hired an additional personal assistant to help with my job.

They sent me any information that needed my direct supervision, but that was few and far in between.

Over one hundred days, and all I did was will her to wake up, to come back to me.
