KIERAN
I remember.
Those words slammed into me like a boulder, making my legs wobbly and shaky.
What was happening right now felt like a dream. But it was not.
It was real.
Edwina was here. She was here and she was hugging me and she remembered.
Her memory was back.
I didn't know if I should laugh or cry.
A sound that could have been both a sob and a laugh ripped out of me. Relief, pure, unabashed, unfiltered relief threatened to undo me as her hands tightened around my body. She remembered.
The Edwina I knew and loved. The woman who went through so much obstacles just to be with me, the woman who owned my entire heart. She was back.
I had been surprised to find her at my door. Archie and Charlotte had just left, and I wasn't expecting any visitor.
Bored and listless, I was about to hit the gym as a release for my frustration when the doorbell rang.
