CIARA
The smile was intentional. I watched as Noah's jaw clenched as he held my gaze, and I knew it was working.
I was smiling to spite him. I imagined his heart pounding against his chest as he tried to imagine what I could possibly have to say?
I relished the feeling, savouring the thrill of knowing that this setting we were in, this meeting, was controlled by me.
Noah settled in on the chair before me, and went straight to the point.
"What do you want, Ciara?"
His voice was curt, like he would rather be somewhere else. I leaned in on the table and smirked.
"Is that the way to speak to your girlfriend? We are in a public space, remember?"
His hands curled into fists, and I let my smile grow wilder.
"I don't have time for your bullshit, Ciara. State your business and save the both of us the agony of having to put up with each other for too long."
