NOAH
I went home that night.
I had been planning to anyway, and Ciara's visit was just a coincidence.
The time I spent with my sister was used to come to terms with the sudden change, and the longer I saw the redecorated room in my mind eye, the more I was able to convince my brain that it wasn't too bad.
I had been surprised to see her at my office, but what I felt when she came inside was less compared to how her last words made me feel.
But I had a meeting to get to, and well, I had no idea what I was supposed to say to that. So I left.
Without even turning to look at her.
I knew she was probably at home, berating herself for even letting that information about her slip, but I would deal with it once I got home.
So I gave all of my focus to work, and left earlier than usual.
