NOAH
Luke found her first.
Somehow, my personal assistant had managed to figure out where she was. I hadn't bothered to ask how he did that, all I cared about was seeing her and knowing that she was safe.
Unharmed.
I had been too careless with my words last night. Right now, I felt the full brunt of my regret. But last night, in the midst of it all, I hadn't cared about what I said.
All that mattered to me back then was letting her know how enraged her actions made me, but now, my priorities had changed.
I needed to apologise. Knowing that woman, she was definitely overthinking right now, probably thinking of me as the worst jerk to ever grace the earth.
Flooring the car, I sped towards the beach where we had that beach date Harriet set us up for before the wedding.
I should have known, damnit. She had gushed about the beach so much that day that her happiness was so damn obvious.
