Chapter 131: Zhai Yunsheng Confronts Jian Yuncheng

Zhai Yunsheng handed Jian Yuncheng printed copies of the posts from the Shenghua High School forum that had attacked Jian Yiling. Most of the original posts had already been deleted, but Zhai Yunsheng had instructed Yu Xi to print physical copies before they disappeared. These hard copies now lay in front of Jian Yuncheng.

The replies in the posts were like daggers, sharp enough to leave deep scars on the heart of a young girl. Each word was cruel and hurtful, capable of breaking the spirit of someone as young as Jian Yiling.

After reading through the contents of the folder, Jian Yuncheng immediately pulled out his phone.

"Don't bother. The posts were deleted a long time ago," Zhai Yunsheng sneered, already knowing what Jian Yuncheng was attempting to do. By now, it was far too late to look for the forum posts—what's done was done.

Zhai Yunsheng taunted him further: "The Jian family, huh? Not only did your own family issues get out, but it became a huge scandal on the school forum. Now that's a talent—I have to give you that!"

"The Jian family sealed off the news," Jian Yuncheng replied, his face growing darker with each word. They had taken swift action to lock down the situation, only informing the school that Jian Yunzhao had fallen ill. Even within the family, only the closest members were aware, and nothing had been revealed to their extended relatives.

"You might not have leaked it, but someone in your ranks certainly did. Are you telling me this to show how incompetent you are? You can't even manage to keep something as simple as this under wraps? You're supposed to be this big, powerful family, yet your 15-year-old little sister was being cyberbullied by the entire school, and you didn't even know about it until now. Tell me, what am I supposed to say to that?"

Faced with Zhai Yunsheng's merciless mockery, Jian Yuncheng found himself with no ground to stand on. This was the first time he had learned of the intense harassment Jian Yiling had endured from the entire school.

Jian Yuncheng's expression grew colder, his eyes now like icy steel. He had no choice but to acknowledge the Jian family's negligence in this matter. They had failed to foresee that, right under their noses, someone had leaked sensitive information that was never meant to be shared outside the family.

Zhai Yunsheng, as nonchalant as ever, lightly drummed his fingers on the table, adding to the tension.

"Jian Yuncheng, being busy is no excuse. The fact remains that you failed to manage your own people properly. What you couldn't handle, I took care of. So, I advise you, stay out of my business."

It became clear that Zhai Yunsheng was already well aware of Jian Yuncheng's intention behind the meeting with Yu Xi.

Despite this, Jian Yuncheng refused to back down. "Mr. Zhai, my sister is still young. Whether you're looking for companionship or something else, she's not the right person for it."

Regardless of Zhai Yunsheng's motives, a man like him had no place being too close to their little sister. Jian Yuncheng had originally intended to talk this over with Yu Xi, hoping that Yu Xi would help maintain an appropriate distance between Zhai Yunsheng and Jian Yiling. But now, with Zhai Yunsheng directly addressing the issue, Jian Yuncheng didn't hold back.

"Jian Yuncheng, you're in no position to be telling me what to do. Go back and get your own affairs in order before you start worrying about anyone else. And even if I had plans to do something about your little sister, in your current state, all you could do is watch from the sidelines. Got that?"

Zhai Yunsheng's words were unrelenting, cutting deep. Since the day he was born, Zhai Yunsheng had never been one to mince words, and Jian Yuncheng was no exception.

After delivering his harsh message, Zhai Yunsheng stood up to leave without a second glance, indifferent to the fact that Jian Yuncheng's face had darkened like the bottom of a scorched pan. His departure only left Jian Yuncheng sitting there, silently fuming.
