Chapter 111: Madison

After picking up the kids from school and quickly changing at home, Delta delivers us to the event. I try to hide my nerves as we ascend in the elevator. I should have texted Hamilton to let him know we’d meet him. I fear what it might look like when we arrive separately.

With a ping, the elevator doors announce our arrival. I prompt Delta and her family to lead the way. Liberty proudly walks at my side as the hem of her dress sways down the long hallway toward the party.

“Delta,” Stan’s deep voice calls as he exits the elevator.

Turning, I find Hamilton standing bewildered beside him.

The two girls run towards their fathers; Webb remains at our sides. With daughters dancing at their feet, the men quickly join us. Hamilton opens his mouth, but Delta stops him with an extended palm.

“I thought you might forget this is a family event, so I delivered your family for you.” She smiles proudly.
