I sprang right into business, pushing away any feelings I might have had. I couldn’t afford to let emotions cloud my judgment, not when so much was riding on this meeting. Taking a deep breath, I began my pitch, my voice steady and professional.

“Our sticks are engineered with cutting-edge technology. ” I explained, gesturing with my hands for emphasis. “Plus, the weight distribution is optimized for both power and precision.”

I watched his face carefully as I spoke, searching for any hint of interest. But there was nothing. He seemed to be listening though, so I continued.

“As for the benefits of endorsement,” I pressed on, “we’re offering a substantial signing bonus, ongoing royalties, and exposure through our extensive marketing campaigns. Your name would be associated with a premium brand in the hockey world.”

He leaned forward slightly, appearing intrigued. My heart raced with hope. This was my chance.
