Chapter 16: Going with the flow

He wasn't sure what Anna was thinking, but Joey thought he knew something about this sort of thing.

So, he said, "The truth is, the more you avoid him, the less you may end up being able to let go of him. It's much better to go with the flow. That way, it's not the fastest way, but it's the most effective."

Anna looked at him with icy eyes, causing Joey to take a subconscious step back.

"Are you scared of me?" Anna raised her eyebrows, "Since you're afraid of me, you still dare to say those words. It seems you really are a bit stupid and bold!"

Joey held back, "I'm not stupid, I'm afraid something will happen to you."

"If something happens to me, what does it matter to you?" Anna asked with extreme indifference.

Joey opened his mouth but didn't say anything. He then walked out.

But where could he go? Out the door, all he could do was stand in the hallway in confusion.

Instead, Anna looked out the window again and realized that Soros had already left.
