"It shouldn't be like this. How could it be?" Soros' face was filled with skepticism.
Anna saw his expression for the first time and couldn't help but look at it for a moment longer.
Taking advantage of her lapse into contemplation, Soros hugged her tightly, and whispered in her ear, "I won't let that happen, Anna. You have no choice. I know you're crazy about me. How could you leave me?"
He thought Anna was faking it or he was going to break down. It was obvious that she loved him so much that she was willing to give her life to him.
Anna unexpectedly froze as she was trapped in his arms. It was a warmth she had missed for years.
She thought the whole thing was incredible. There was a time when Soros was too scary for her, and now that he was desperate, it made her feel a little uneasy.
Anna began to doubt herself. After all these years, was her love just a habit?
She said nothing and waited quietly for Soros to let go of her arm and walk away just as he was about to speak.
