Xander, freshened, and bandaged, strode to Ares office, with a document in his hand.
He stopped at the door to take a deep breath, before pushing it open.
The first thing he noticed as he stepped in was Ares' eyes deeply focused on whatever it was he was reading.
His nerves started to fail him, but when he thought about the bigger picture, he decided to man-up.
He drew closer to the desk, and sat even without being told to.
"Ares?" He called after mustering enough courage.
He didn't get any response just like he knew he wouldn't.
It didn't matter to him, anyway. His plan wasn't to leave until he got his message across.
"I wanted to apo—"
"Why are you really here?" He instantly cut him off, but his eyes were still buried in the screen.
"About earlier man—"
"Why are you really here?" Ares questioned again.
