CRASH OUT

Ares looked him up, and down, without saying a word to him.

He didn't exactly care what anyone thought. That was their business, and this was his.

"I'm not speaking to you as the big, bad, gangster boss. I'm speaking to you– Ares— the guy I grew up with as best of friends, and a brother. That is your mother, and no matter the reasons you have, you don't leave her in the hands of your enemies!"

"Did she think of family when she led my father into the hands of his enemies?" He fired angrily.

"An unconfirmed rumor you chose to hold on to because it gave you an outlet to pour out your anger. I get it Ares. You idolize your father. He was God to you the same way religious folks worship a deity. But Nads is still your mother. And after everything you've put her through, you owe it to her not to let her die in the camp of an enemy. That's not the kind of man you are!"
