EMPTY THREATS

"Who is that rude fool, interrupting me?" Athena asked, as she tried to look.

"Where's your room, Athena?" Angel asked.

"Fine! It's the one to our left."

"Alright. Go in, okay?" Angel said, and tried to move her towards it..

"Hell no! I can't leave you with the strange man."

"I can handle myself. I just need you to be fine."

"Are you sure?" Athena asked.

"I am. And don't you dare cry anymore!" She lifted a pinky.

Athena smiled through her teary face, as she locked in her pinky with hers. "I won't."

"Good, now go," she said, pushing her to the door.

She waited for the door to close, before she turned to the man that had called her name.

"Why is a cop looking for me?" She asked right away. "Did my father send you too?"

Officer Berkeley gave her a once over. He couldn't be more grateful the club had been more intoxicating than usual tonight.
