Chapter 10: Son Goku Joins the Adventure

"No way, this is a keepsake from my grandpa. I can't give it to anyone," Son Goku insisted stubbornly.

No matter how Bulma tried to persuade him, Son Goku refused to give up the Dragon Ball.

At that moment, John walked up to Son Goku and asked, "Goku, are you also a martial artist?"

"Martial artist? What's that?" Son Goku was puzzled, not understanding what John meant.

John didn't waste any time and immediately demonstrated his skills by performing the Twelve-Road Tan Leg technique. This style emphasizes using the legs for both offense and defense, with powerful kicks and punches.

In his previous life, John was an ordinary person, but after crossing over to the Dragon Ball world, his physical abilities had greatly improved. He performed the Twelve-Road Tan Leg with impressive speed and power.

Son Goku was amazed and excited, eagerly asking, "John, you're so strong! Can we spar?"

John immediately agreed, "Of course. Sparring with others is the fastest way to improve as a martial artist."

Upon hearing John's agreement, Son Goku jumped in front of him and assumed a fighting stance.

Son Goku's innocent smile vanished, replaced by a serious expression. He had only ever sparred with his grandfather, so he wasn't sure how he compared to other martial artists. However, he was eager to test his skills against others.

As the two of them stood in their fighting stances, the atmosphere became tense, and Bulma couldn't help but feel nervous.

Son Goku took the initiative and attacked with a quick leap and punch towards John.

John retreated and blocked Son Goku's punch, and the two of them immediately engaged in a fierce battle.

The clash of fists and the sounds of their intense fighting filled the air.

The Twelve-Road Tan Leg style emphasizes both high and low attacks, with powerful punches and kicks. The leg techniques focus on quick and precise strikes, often targeting vulnerable areas.

"Weakness!" Son Goku, who hadn't sparred in a while, soon revealed a flaw in his defense.

John seized the opportunity and kicked Son Goku's supporting leg, using his powerful strength to knock him off balance. Son Goku was about to fall, but John followed up with a knee strike to his abdomen and a double-handed punch to his back, sending him crashing to the ground.

Bulma was surprised and concerned, thinking that Son Goku was too young to be fighting so intensely. In her opinion, John was already at a disadvantage, and now he was using such heavy attacks.

However, before Bulma could finish her thoughts, Son Goku got back up, brushed off the dust, and showed no signs of injury. It seemed like John's attacks had only tickled him.

Son Goku smiled and looked at John, saying, "John, you're really strong! I need to get serious now."

Bulma finally understood why John wanted to recruit Son Goku. Even after receiving such powerful attacks, he showed no signs of injury. Son Goku was truly exceptional.

The two of them resumed their fighting stances, and Son Goku attacked again, but this time, he was even faster. He quickly reached John's side and was about to throw a punch.

However, Son Goku dodged to John's side, attacking from his blind spot. He kicked John with a swift side kick.

John sensed the danger and ducked, feeling a gust of wind as Son Goku's kick flew over his head.

The powerful wind ruffled John's hair.

Son Goku leaped over John and landed behind him, ready to attack again. This time, John saw Son Goku's movement and engaged in another intense battle. However, the roles had reversed, and now Son Goku was on the offensive while John was on the defensive.

Son Goku feinted, catching John off guard, and then struck him in the abdomen with a powerful punch. John was knocked down by the force of the blow.

Son Goku didn't continue the attack but instead asked with concern, "John, are you okay?"

Bulma, seeing John in pain, rushed over and extended her hand to help him up, asking, "John, are you alright?"

John clutched his abdomen and waved them off, muttering, "I'll be fine. Just give me a moment."

After a while, John felt the pain gradually dissipate and managed to stand up again.

He extended his hand towards Son Goku and said, "Goku, let's go on an adventure together. With your skills, you shouldn't stay in this small village. You should explore the wider world and spar with more martial artists."

"Are they as strong as you, John?" Son Goku asked curiously.

John couldn't help but smile wryly and said, "My skills are nothing special. I'm just an ordinary martial artist. There are many stronger fighters out there."

"Really? Then I want to go with you and spar with those powerful martial artists," Son Goku exclaimed enthusiastically.

The three of them enjoyed a hearty lunch, and Son Goku put the Four-Star Dragon Ball in a bag and tied it to his waist. They got into the car and drove towards the location of the fourth Dragon Ball.

As the sun slowly set in the west, Son Goku, who had never ventured far from home, stuck his head out of the car window, enjoying the breeze created by the moving car.

Suddenly, Bulma slammed on the brakes and opened the door, rushing into the bushes. "I need to use the bathroom. Don't peek!" she shouted.

John also said, "Be careful, don't go too far. There might be danger."

Son Goku, still puzzled, asked, "What's wrong with Bulma? What is she doing?"

John explained to Son Goku, "Because Bulma is a girl."

"Oh, so being a girl is quite troublesome," Son Goku said, and John could only remain silent.

Just then, a giant winged dragon emerged from the bushes, clutching Bulma in its claws.

"John, Goku, save me!" Bulma screamed.

Son Goku, still confused, asked, "Bulma, is that your friend?"

John immediately attacked the winged dragon, saying to Son Goku, "This isn't our friend. It wants to eat Bulma."

John dodged the dragon's tail attack and kicked it in the back, sending it crashing to the ground.

After a few exchanges, the winged dragon realized that it was no match for John and wanted to fly away. It seemed that neither John nor Son Goku could fly, so it thought it could escape.

The winged dragon flapped its wings and said to John and Son Goku, "Haha, you're both strong, but unfortunately, you can't fly. I'll come back to finish you off after I've eaten."

Bulma, still in the dragon's grasp, shouted, "John, Goku, save me! I don't want to become food for this ugly dragon!"

Seeing the dragon trying to fly away, John said to Son Goku, "Goku, use your Power Pole to bring it down."

Son Goku immediately drew his Power Pole and shouted, "Extend!" The Power Pole instantly lengthened, and he gripped it with both hands, swinging it towards the dragon's head with all his might.
